Dear Members of the Board:
We are requesting a 5 foot rear yard set back variation
for a distance of 9 feet to add an additional bedroom and
bath for the following reasons:
a) Our house was for sale for almost 10 months and we
were unable to sell it due to economic conditions.
b) Due to the extraordinary mortgage market we cannot
afford to move to find a house as nice as ours
and with as much space with the addition.
c) As a family of 4 we need more space than a 3 bedroom
home permits.
d) The house does not have a basement.
e) The added space will give the children a play space
of their own.
f) Our home already has had one addition.
g) That to add the room we need it is necesspry to
encroach 5 feet into the setback but only for a
distance of 9 feet due to the pie shaped lot.
The variation will not alter the area and will permit
a reasonable use and return on the property.
