AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 0-58-22 OF THE ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
SECTION 1. That Section 33.05 (].) of Chapter 33 of the
Uniform Building Code 1955 Edition of Pacific
Coast Building Officials Conference which has
heretofore been adopted by the Village is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 33.05 (L) Headroom.
Every required stairway shall have
headroom clearance of not less than six
feet six inches (6'6") measured vertically
from the nearest nosing to the nearest
soffit: except that headroom of six feet
four inches (6'4") will be acceptable
for basement stairs.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
