2004-08-30 - Ordinance 2004-083 - AMENDING CHAPTER 5.20 LIQUOR CONTROLS (SECTION 5.20.070, PARAGRAPHS A - F, LICENSES-CLASSIFICATINS-FEES)ORDINANCE NO. 2M4-83 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.20' LIQUOR CONTROLS' OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE MUNICIPAL CODE WIIEREAS, the Viltage of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970;' NOW, TIMREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY T}IE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF Tm VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows: Section 1. Section 5.20.070, Paragraphs A through F, of the village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 5. 20.070 Licenses-Clessilications-Fees Such licenses are divided into the following classes: A. Class A licenses, authorizing the retail sale of alcoholic liquors on the specified premises by means ofbar service, for consumption on the premises onl,v. The annual fee for each license shall be two thousand five hundred dollars (52,500.00). B. Class B licenses, authorizing the retail sale of alcoholic liquors on the specified premises b-v means of a service area, for consumption on the premises only. The annual fee for each license shall be two thousand three hundred dollars ($2,300.00). C. Class C licenses, authorizing the retail sale of alcoholic liquors on the specified premises, to be sold only in the original packages and then for consumption offthe premises only. The annual fee for each license shall be two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) D. Class D licenses, authorizing the retail sale of beer and wine on the specified premises, to be sold only in the original packages and then for consumption off the premises only. The annual fee for each license shall be one thousand eight hundred dollars (s1,800.00). If authorized by the Liquor Control Commissioner and approved by the Viltage Board, a Class D license may be combined with a Class A or Class B license for an additional annual fee of three hundred dollars ($300.00) above the cost ofa Class A or Class B license. E. Class E licenses, authorizing the retail sale of beer and wine on the specified premises b1' means ofa sewice area" for consumption on the premises only. The annual fee fur each license shall be one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00). F. Class F licenses, authorizing the sale of alcoholic liquors for consumption on the premises only in hotels. Class F licenses shall be subject to the following conditions and limitations: l. Alcoholic liquor shall only be consumed: a. Il rooms, which contain sleeping accommodations but only if delivered to the room by an individual of at least twent-v-one ye.ars of age, b. In meeting r@ms, restaurants, lounge/lobby areas, buffet rooms and a courtyard surrounded by the hotel building, or c. At a service area: 2. The application for a Class F license shall include the applicant's operational plans delineating acc€ptable administrative controls to ensure that underage drinking does not occur in the rooms which contain sleeping accommodations. 3. No person shall rent a hotel room from the proprietor or agent tlereof where such room shall be used for the consumption ofalcoholic liquor by penons under the age of twent_v-one years; 4. The annual fee for such license shall be two thousand dollan ($2,000.00). I Section 3.
