2003-06-16 - Ordinance 2003-047 - AMENDING CHAPTER 5.20 LIQUOR CONTROLS (SUBSECTION I OF SECTION 5.20.070, LICENSES-CLASSIFICATIONS-FEES)ORDINANCENO.2OO} 47 AN ORDINANCE AMEI\DING CHAPTER 5.20, LIQUOR CONTROLS, OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE ML]NICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of I970; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDATNED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows: Section l. Subsection l. of Section 5.20.070 ofthe Village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code is hereby added to read as follows: s.20.070 Licc nses-Class ifi catio ns- Fees. Class I licenses, authorizing the sale ofalcoholic liquors when served and consumed off the premises as an incidental part ofa catering food service that serv€s prepared meals, which excludes the serving ofsnack as the primary meal and having a caterer retail license issued by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission. It shall be lawful however to permit the tasting or sampling ofalcoholic liquor on the premises, if said tasting or sampling is part ofa promotion, is ofa temporary nature and no direct or indirect charge is made therefor. A Class I liquor license shall only be issued to a business located in the Village of Buffalo Grove having a business license as authorized by Chapter 5.04 of this Code. The annual fee for each license shall be one thousand two hundred dollars. Section 2. Subsection A. of Section 5.20.120 ofthe Village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto the following hours of operation for a Class I license: Class oflicense Monday througt Friday Saturday Sunday ThursdayI 7:00 a.m. -l:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. 2:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. 2:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. I :00 a.m. Sec{ion 3. The following sentence in subsection A. ofSection 5.20.120 of the Village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code: A. No alcoholic liquor shall be sold, given away, offered for sale or consumed except during the following hours ofoperation: is hereby amended to read as follows: A. It shall be unlawfirl for a liquor licensee to authorize or permit the dispensing giving selling, delivery, possession or consumption ofany alcoholic liquor except duringthe following hours of operation: I. Sec'tion 4. If any sectiorl paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity thereofshall not affect any olher provision ofthis ordinance. Section 5. Any person violating any portion ofthis ordinance shall be punished according to the provisions ofChapter 1.08 and Chapter 5.20 ofthe Buffalo Grove Municipal Code. Soctbn 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect fiom and affer its passage, approval and publication. This ordinance may be published in pamphlet form.
