ADOPTTNG THE FTSCAL 2026 (JANUARY l-
DECEMBER 31,20.26) BUDGET FOR THE
VILLACE OF BUFFALO GROVE
WHEREAS the Village of Buffalo Crove is a home rule unit pursuant to the
lllinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS in accordance with Section 8-2-9.1 et. Seg. of the lllinois Municipal
Code, 65 ILCS 5/8-2-9.1 et seq., and Section 2.OA.O43 of the Village of Buffalo Crove
Municipal Code, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Crove
have adopted the budget officer system; and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 8-2-9.4 of the lllinois Municipal Code,65 ILCS
5/A-2-9.4 and Section 2.OA.O43 of the Village Code, the Village is required to adopt
an annual budget; and
WHEREAS the Village of Buffalo Crove f iscalyear runs f rom January 1, 2026,
to December 3.l, 2026; and
WHEREAS the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget has been prepared and submitted for
the review and consideration by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Buffalo Crove; and
WHEREAS a notice of Public Hearing was published in the Daily Herald on
October .16,2025, and a copy of the FY 2026 Budget was made available to the
public; and
WHEREAS the President and Board of Trustees reviewed and considered the
FY 2026 Budget at a Special Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of
November lZ 2025; and
WHEREAS pending any f inal review of changes to, or su pplemental reports on,
various elements of the Budget content, the FY 2026 Budget can be considered for
adoption.
NOW THEREFORE BE lT ORDATNED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Buffalo Crove, Cook and Lake Counties, lllinois, as follows:
SECTION l. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated and made
a part of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. The FY 2026 Budget of the Village of Buffalo Crove be approved after
consideration of any changes and reports as requested by the President and Board
of Trustees up to and through December'1,2025.

SECTION 3. Upon adoption of the Budget, authority is given to the Village Manager
to place the document in final form for distribution.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval and shall not be codified.

SECTION 4. lf any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be
held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision of this
Ord ina nce.
