AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO
GROVE AND MUNICIPAL GlS PARTNERS
WHEREAS the Village of Buffalo Crove is a home rule unit of local
government pursuant to the lllinois Constitution of l97O and is authorized to enter
into intergovernmental agreements under Article Vll, Section lO and the
lntergovernmental Cooperation Act (5 ILCS 22Oh et seq.); and
WHEREAS the Village is responsible for managing the geographic data
essential to delivering municipal services, and participation in the CIS Consortium
through Municipal CIS Partners provides the resources necessary to maintain and
administer these systems effectively; and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of the Village to approve a revised CIS
Consortium Service Provider Contract with Municipal CIS Partners to ensure the
continued delivery and proper management of Ceographic lnformation System
(C lS) services.
NOW THEREFORE BE lT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Buffalo Crove, Cook and Lake Counties, lllinois, as follows:
SECTION l. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated and made a
part of this Ordinance as if fullysetforth herein.
SECTION 2. The Village Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Municipal
6lS Partners, lnc. for the provision of Ceographical lnformation Services, in an
amount not to exceed $17 4,649.
SECTI ON 3. lf an y section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be
held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision of this
Ord ina nce.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval and shall not be codified.
