AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS I
AND 13 OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO
GROVE MUNICIPAL CODE - I.AKE COUNTY
SEWER FEES
WHEREAS the Village of Buffalo Crove is a home rule unit pursuant to the
lllinois Constitution of l97O; and
WHEREAS the County of Lake provides for certain sanitary and stormwater
management and treatment services for all system customers within the Lake County
portion of the Village of Buffalo Crove pursuant to an "agreement for Sewerage
Disposal" dated February 22d,2022; and
WHEREAS said Agreement sets forth the requirements for the Village to assess
and collect on behalf of the County of Lake rates and fees necessary to offset the
expense of treating and disposing of sanitary system sewage generated; and
WHEREAS the County of Lake has determined that it is necessary to revise its
connection fees for their operational and maintenance expenses incurred in treating
and disposing of sanitary system sewage within the Southeast service region, which
includes Lake County Buffalo Crove; and
WHEREAS to that effect, the Lake County Board approved, on luly llth,2023, an
ordinance amending rates for all wholesale and retail water and sewer systems in the
Cou nty.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINEO BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
lLLlNOIS, as follows:
SECTION l. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated and made a
part of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein elfective December ,].,,2025.

SECTION 3. lf any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be
held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision of th is Ordinance.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in fullforce and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication as provided by law. This Ordinance may be published in
pamphlet form.
