AN ORDINANCE UPDATING THE MATERIAL AND
LABOR PURCHASE TO RECLAMITE IN LIEU OF
CRF UNDER THE CORRECTIVE ASPHALT
MATERIALS, LLC CONTRACT FOR THE 2025
PAVEM ENT REJUVENATION PROJECT
WHEREAS the Village of Buffalo Crove is a home rule unit pursuant to the
lllinois Constitution of l97O; and
WHEREAS on March .l7,2025 the Village Board approved an Ordinance (2025-
44) Authorizing the Purchase of CRF Maltene Based Restorative Seal Material and
Labor for the 2025 Pavement Rejuvenation Project from Corrective Asphalt
Materials, LLC (CAM); and
WHEREAS after further evaluation staff recommends using Reclamite instead
of CRF for the 2025 Pavement Rejuvenation Project; and
WHEREAS the Village is a member of the Municipal Partnering lnitiative; and
*rgpgAS the Village may make purchases in accordance with tllinois
Oovernmental loint Purchasing Act (3O ILCS 525/O.Ol et seq.); and
WHEREAS the Municipal Partnering lnitiative engaged in a competitive
procurement process involving both CRF and Reclamite to obtain the best value for
money; and
WHEREAS the Village Board finds it in the Village's best interest to change
f rom CRF to Reclamite for the 2025 Pavement Rejuvenation Project.
SECTION l. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated and made a
partof this Ordinance as if fullysetforth herein.
SECTION 2. The Village Manager is authorized to purchase Reclamite in lieu of CRF
material and labor from Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC (CAM) for the 2025
Pavement Rejuvenation Project at a price not to exceed $]]4,833.00 pending
attorney review.
SECTION 3, lf any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be
held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision of this
Ordinance.

Village of Buffalo Crove, Cook and Lake Counties, lllinois, as follows.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in fullforce and effect from and after its passage
and approval and shall not be codified
