MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT & BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLACE OF BUFFALO CROVE HELD IN THE JEFFREY S. BRAIMAN

hesident Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Those present stood and pledged allegiance to the Flag.

Roll call indicated the following present: President Smith: Trustees Johnson. Richards, Cesario. Ottenheimer,

President Smith announced that the next *President's Pick" will feature Buffalo Grove Park District Board
President Hetal Wallace and Executive Director Erika Strojinc. They will discuss future and ongoing plans for
Buffalo Grove park improvements and other news ftom the Park District. Residents are encouraged to attend
and are ftee lo discussany other questions or concems they mighthave. Theeventwill be at the pavilion at
Mike Rylko Communit) Park.95l McHenry Road. from 5:30 - 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday. August 19.2025.
Chief Budds introduced and reviewed the background. credentials. recognitions and awards for our newest
Commander Jonathan Olficer ofthe Buffalo Grove Police Department. Commander Officer was

congratulated by the audience and the Board as he inroduced his family and stated that it is an honor to be given
the opponunity to be our next Police Commander in one of the best agencies and communities there is, and he is
looking forward to continuing to serve the residents of Buffalo Grove.
Trustee Richards reported on the upcoming Blood Driv€ to be held Saturday moming during Buffalo Crove
Days. noting the continuing need for donations. and urged residents who are able to participate in the drive.
Trustee Johnson reported on the activities that will take place during Buffalo Grove Days over Labor Day
weekend and urged residents tojoin the fun with their friends and neighbors over the weekend.
President Smith explained the Consent Agenda. stating that any member ofthe audience or the Board could
request that an item be removed for full discussionl there were no such requests. The Village Clerk read a brief
synopsis ofeach ofthe items on the Consent Agenda.
Motion to pass Ordinance No. 2025-89 amending Parking Restrictions to Highland Grove Drive and Fabish
Drive at Tripp Elementary School.
Motion to pass Ordinance No.2025-90 authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with Keen Independent
Research LLC.

Motion to pass Ordinance No. 2025-91 approving amendment to the Preliminary Plan with variations for a car
wash addition and other improvements as well as updated signage, and other improvements at the BP Cas
Station at 540 McHenry Road.

Motion to pass Ordinance No. 2025-92 approving a Special Use for an lndoor lnstructional Golf Facility

prepared, after which he answered questions from the Board.

President Smith reviewed the parameters to be followed by speakers and asked ifthere were any questions from
the audience on items not on tonight's agenda.
On behalfofseveral neighbors on their block. Mark Czerwinski and Mike Scher. who live in homes adjacent to
the Arborelum Golf Course. commented on the number of golf balls that are hit on to their properties, which
have caused damage to their homes and vehicles and pose potential physical harm to their families. noting that
they are hesitant togrill or enjoy theiryards. When the golfers are confionted. they deny the accusation. The
suggestion is that some rJ*pe of fund be set aside to reimburse residents for the damage caused by these incidents
