A:-g-: WHEREAS, the Buffalo Grove Park Distriet, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois has enacted various ordin{inees proscribing various rules and regulations for the use, care and maintenance of its parks; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 71-6, Police Offieers of the Viltage of Buffalo Grove are authorized to police th€se parks and issue citations to persons for violations of these ordinances; and WHEREAS, the Buffalo Grove Park Distrct wish6 to have the Village proEecutor for the Village of Buffalo Grove act a!. its psoseeutor when the matterc of the ordinance violations are presented in Court; and WHEREAS, the Village of Buflalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counti6, Illinois has agreed to share the services of its prooecutor with th€ Buffalo Grove p6rk Distriet; and WHEREAS, any and all fines couected as a result of these proseeutions will be retained by the ViUage of Buffalo Grove; and WIIEREAS, the Buffalo Grove Park Distriet and the Village of Buffalo Grove wish to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreemeot to provide for these services; NOW, THEBEFOEE, BT IT OBDAINBD by the Board of park Commissioners of the Buffalo Grove Park District as follows: SECTION 1:That the Buffalo Grove Park Distriet enter into an lntergovefnmental Agreement with the village of Buffalo crove to provide that the village Prosecutor for the village of Buffalo Grove shall pposecute all Buffalo Grove Park District ordinance violation cas€s and that any fines collected from these prosecutions shall be retained by the ViUage of Buffalo Grove. SECTION 2: That the President and Secr etary be authorized to sign said Intergovern mental Agreement, a copy of whieh is attached heteto. A'ITEST: etary a INTERGOVERNMENTAL AG REEMENT THIS AGRIiEMENT, made snd entered into this 25rh dEy of March 1985, by and between the Buffalo Grove Park Dktrict, Cook end Lake Counties, Illinois, a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as rtpARKr) and the Vi[age of Buffalo Grove, Cook and lake Counties, Illinoi3, a municigal eorporation (hereinafter referred to as "YILLAGE9. WHEREAS, Article YII, Section l0 of the 1g?0 Constitution of the State of Illinois, provides in part that units of Imal government may eontract among themselves to share services; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of park Commissioners of the PARK that it is in the best inter6t to have the Village proseeutor of the yILLAGE act as its proseeutor in all ordinance violation aa8es brought by the pARK; and WHEREAS, the VILLAGE has agreed to allow its proseeutor to perform these services: IT IS THEREFORE AGREED: 1. Commeneing !{arch 25 1985, the Village Proseeutor of the YILLAGE shall be authorized to act as the prosecutor for the pARK in alt Buffalo Grove Park Distriat ordinance violation cases. 2. That all fines eollected as a result of these prosecutions shall be retained by the VILLAGE. 3. That this Agreement shall continue in effect until either party giyes thirty days written notiee to the other of its intent to terminate the Agreement.
