Scope of Work - Phase 2 Engi nee rinq Phase 2 of the work to be done by the CONSULTANT on the project shall be as set forth in Section 5 of the STANDARD PROVISIONS, Scope of Services for Design and Preparation of MCEO39 -3- The "Standard Agreenent Provisions for Consultant Services", d.ated L977, of the Department of Transportation of the State of I11inois, hereinafter referred to as the n STANDARD PROVISIONS", are incorporated and made part of this AGREEI,IENT except as deler-ed or amended hereafter. The design and plans for utility adjustments will be prepared by the respective utility companies. 2.9 (SP 6.421 Delete 6.42 since reguired for this PROJECT. Staking of right-of- way limits will be performed by others during the construction phase of the PROJECT. 2.14 The CONSULTANT shal1 furnish the VILLAGE, for transmit- ta1 to IDOT, the following documents, pLans and copies thereof: a) Preliminary Roadway Plans: 4 sets of prints b)Final Contract Plans: Mylar Reproducibles (36" x 22") and 1 set each of prints and sepias c)Special Provj-sions: Original typed on forms furnished by the DEPARTMENT d) e) is mod- prrces The VILLAGE will be furnished two l2l copies of the above items for their records. MCEO 3 9 -5- 2.12 (SP 6.48) The work in Sectj-on 6.48 will include providing plats, lega1 descriptj.ons, title letters and right-of-way plans for seven (7) parcels. Estimate of Time: Original typed on forrns fur- nished by the DEPARTMENT Estimate of Cost: Original with prices and 1 copy wlthout prices typed on forms (8L" x 11") fur- nished by the DEPARTMINT. 3. The VMAGE agrees to furnish the followinq items: AII presently available survey data and information, includ- ing standard details and standard specifications adopted by the VILLAGE, and other available data useful to the work being done by the CONSULTANT. 4. Project Schedule The CONSULTANT sha1l commence work on Phase 2 within five (5) calendar days after date of authority to proceed. The work will be completed and delivered to the VILLAGE and the DEPARTMENT i{ithin 1.50 calendar days after notice to proceed. The PROJECT is to be ready for an October 10, 1986 contract letting scheduled by the DEPARTI,IENT, on the basis that right-of-way acquisition is completed and federal funding.is available. 5. P1i4e Compensation 5 1 Phase 2 - Design and Preparation of Contract Plans: Subject to an Upper Limit of Compensation of $73,953,00, the CONSULTANT sha11 receive as fU11 Payment for completing the Phase II work required of him under this AGREEMENT reimbursement of his eligible actual costs in accord.ance with Section 2.45 of the STANDARD PROVISIONS, plus a Fixed Amount of 97,760.00. The Upper Limit of Compensation is a result of the Cost Estimate of Consultant's Services, attached as Exhibit D. The retainage provisions contained in Section 2.42 of the STANDARD PROVISIONS sha1l not apply to Direct Non-Salary Costs. The attached Exhibits A, B, and C are to be used as set forth in Section 2.42 of Ehe STANDARD PROVISIONS. Invoices shalI be prepared in accordance with Section 2.4L. MCEO 3 9 -6- 5 2 The Prime Compensatj-on may be increased or decreased by subsequent agreement between the contractual and approving paltj-es if there j.s a major change in the scope, character or complexity of the work. CONSULf!NC TNCiNfIIS -2- The subgrade soil survey will be accomplished by per- forming auger bbrings spaced at approximately 300 foot inter- vals on alternate sides of the roadway, and at other points where significant problem areas are observed: a) Soil survey borings will be extended to a depth six (6) to ten feet below grade with sampling at inch intervals or more frequently if required sample all soil strata. of 30 to b) Laboratory testing will include moisture content determinations, consistency (penetrometer value ) , determination on cohesive soil samples and classi- fication tests as reguired to identify major subgrade soil types. The soil survey and structure borings will be performed in compliance with: the current State of 11linois, Specification 'for Soil Survey; the requirements of the Northeast Region; and the Soils Manual.
