WTEREAS, the VlLlage spent many months reviewing proposaLs from vari-
ous cable communlcations companles prior to granting a franchlse for the
provislon of cable teLevislon servlces to the Village; and,
WHEREAS, the Village granted a fraochise to Warner-Amex based on its
apparent financlaL stablllty and sta te-of-the-art cable technology; and,
I{HEREAS, the Vlllage renalns convinced that the tlarner-Amex trro-way
interactlve system ls the best and trDst modern cable system avallable, and
ls deslrous of retaLning lJarner-Anex as j-ts franchlsee for cable servlcesl

I.IHEREAS, the Vlllage has lnforEation that Warner-Amex nay be attemptlng
to sell and assign 1ts franchise for cabl.e service lrlth the Village of Buffalo
