WHEREAS the Village of Buffalo crove is a home rule unit pursuant to the
lllinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS the Village sought out companies qualified to provide the
requested services and materials for the development of a new fire station facility at
5O5 West Dundee Road, Buffalo Crove, tL (the ,,project,'); and
WHEREAS the Village engaged in a competitive procurement process toobtain the best value for the money for the project; and
WHEREAS pursuant to a previously executed agreement with Fredrick euinnCorporation ("FQC"), FeC has agreed to be a construction manager at risk for theProject with a Cuaranteed Maximum price for the project; and
WHEREAS FQC and the Village have completed a procurement process, asauthorized by the Village Board for the project resulting in the recommendation ofthe award of 29 separate construction trade contracts as set forth on Exhibit A
attached hereto and resulting in the ouaranteed Maximum price of $B,s4l,46l.oo.
Now THEREFoRE BE 1T oRDAINED by the president and Board of rrustees of theVillage of Buffalo Crove, Cook and Lake Counties, tllinois, as follows:
sEcrloN I. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated and made apart of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SE oN 2.The Village Board accepts the recommendation for the award for 29separate construction trade contracts (As set forth on Exhibit A), subject to the finalreview and approval of the Village Attorney.
sEcrloN 3. The Village president is authorized to execute an amendment to thecontract with Fredrick Quinn Corporation establishing a cuaranteed Maximum price
of $8,541,461.00 for the new Fire station 25 facility located at 5os west Dundee Road,Buffalo Crove, lL. (As set forth in Exhibit A)
SECTION 4.Due to the size and scope ofthe project, a contingen cy fund of $371,980is included i n the Cuaranteed Maximum price and shall only be u sed with prior

execute any and all change orders requiring the expenditure of any portion of the
contingency fund, so long as the contingency fund amount is not exceeded.
SECTION 5. lf any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be
held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision of this
Ord ina nce.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval and shall not be codified.
