President Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Those present stood and pledged allegiance to the Flag.

Chief Budds presented a briefbackground of the credeatials of our newest police olficer, Christian Reyes.
Ed McKee, Chairman of the Board of Fire & Police Commissionen, administered the Oath of OIfice to Oflicer
Christirn Reyes, after which Offrcer Reyes' girlfriend, Madeline, pinned on his badge as he was welcomed and
congratulat€d by he audience and the Board. Officer Reyes thanked his family for their suppon and the Board
and the Buffalo Grove Police Depanment for this opportunity and noted that he is excited to face new challenges
and make a diflerence in our communiry.

he prepared, after which he answered questions from the Board.

Mr. Johnson reviewed the proposed ordinance, details ofwhich are contained in his memo to Mr. Bragg, dated
laruary 9 , 2025 , after which he responded to comments and questions from the Board.
Board members recogJized Mr. Johnson and staff for their efforts ir saving taxpayers over $5,000,000.00 on the
various projects presented tonight.
