1982-12-20 - Resolution 1982-62 - EXPRESSING THE INTENTION OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GRVE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE POLICE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROGRAM (PIMS) r \,./ RESOLUTION NO. 82 - 62 A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENTION OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE POLICE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROGRAM (P. I .M.S.) WHEREAS, the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission Criminal Justice Information Systems Division has developed and will maintain and operate a Police Information Management System Program (hereinafter referred to as P. I .M.S.) to provide regionalized central computer law enforcement data processing services to many Police Departments within the State of Illinois in a most cost effective manner; and WHEREAS, sophisticated apportioned informational systems are increasingly important to the operation of and between suburban police agencies; and WHEREAS, increased control and management of police records and information provides more effective crime prevention and deterrent capabilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS that the Village Manager be authorized and directed to take all necessary or advisable actions to execute and implement the P. I .M.S.
