A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF COOK TO NOT COLLECT
THE LOSS IN COLLECTION ON TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE VILLAGE
OF BUFFALO GROVE
WHEREAS, The Village of Buffalo Grove has experienced a high level
of property tax collections from its residential and commercial
property in Cook County as verified by audit procedures; and
WHEREAS, The County of Cook has made it a policy to extend additional
amounts over and above those levies requested by the Village
to offset any loss in collectability; and
WHEREAS, These additional taxes will not be needed by the Village to
perform its operational responsibilities to its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The County Clerk of Cook County is hereby directed
not to levy the loss and cost of collection notes in addition to those levies
requested by the Village of Buffalo Grove in its 1979 Tax Levy Ordinance upon
all taxable property within the Cook County boundaries of the Village.
SECTION 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to send a
certified copy of this Resolution to the County Clerk of Cook County.
