area thus enhancing the public benefit and enjoyment of the property, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove supports the Lake County Forest
Preserve District 's efforts of acquiring additional land, and has pledged

property, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Arlington Heights has informed the Lake County
Forest Preserve District that a portion of the land subject to acquisition by
the Lake County Forest Preserve District in Lake County is under review by the
Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago for consideration of
extending jurisdictional boundaries for the purpose of providing sanitary sewer
service to the subject property for land development purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove identifies a public benefit
conflict between the Lake County Forest Preserve District and the Metropolitan
Sanitary District of Greater Chicago in their actions.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The Village of Buffalo Grove supports the efforts of the
Lake County Forest Preserve District to acquire land adjacent to the existing forest
preserve.
SECTION 2. The Village of Buffalo Grove recognizes that if the
Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago favorably considered the
request of landowners to extend its boundaries and serve this property with sanitary
sewer services for purposes of land development, that this action would conflict
with the Lake County Forest Preserve District's efforts to acquire said property
and not serve the public interest to its fullest extent.
