1979-03-05 - Resolution 1979-11 - Buffalo Grove Conveyance of Real Property to Scholl District 102 RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 11 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT #102 (Ridgewood Site) WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is the owner of a certain parcel of real property described in the legal description as follows: That part of the Southeast 4 of Section 33, Township 43 North, Range 11 East, of the Third Principal Meridian, Lake County, Illinois, more fully described as follows: Lot 88, Block 3 of the Ridgewood Subdivision, as particularly described in Document No. 1824725, recorded March 15, 1977, in Lake County, Illinois, except the following described parcel : Exception: Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Lot 41 , Block 3 of Ridgewood Subdivision , thence N 37° 31 ' 56" E, along Northwest- erly lot line of aforesaid Lot 41 extended, approximately 148 feet to the intersection with a line 400 feet North of, and parallel to the Northerly lot line of Lots 56, 57, and 58, Block 3; of Ridgewood Subdivision; thence S. 89° 53' 10" E, approximately 148 feet to a point on the Westerly right-of-way line of Horatio Boulevard, then Southerly along the Westerly right-ofway line of Horatio Boulevard, a curve to the left having a radius of 686.40 feet, approximately 163 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 89, Block 3 of Ridgewood Subdivision; thence due East along the North lot line of Lot 89 aforesaid, 182.21 feet to a point on the North- easterly Lot line of Lot 41 aforesaid; thence N 31° 58' 46" W 39.0 feet; thence N 52° 28' 04" W, 29.00 feet to the point of be- ginning. Subject to: An easement is hereby reserved by the Village of Buffalo Grove, Illinois for Drainage and Utility purposes upon, along and under a strip of land lying Northerly and Northwesterly of, and ten (10) feet wide, measured perpendicularly to, the following described line: Beginning at the Northerly corner of Lot 41 aforesaid, thence N 37° 31 ' 56" E approximately 148 feet to the intersection with a line 400 feet North of and parallel to the North Lot lines of Lots 56, 57, and 58 aforesaid, thence S 89° 53' 10" E, approximately 148 feet to its intersection with the Westerly right-of-way line of Horatio Boulevard, and the end of the line being described. and; WHEREAS, the Village has no immediate use for said real property, and, WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem it to be in the public interest to have said property be put to public use by deeding same to the County Board of School Trustees of Lake County and their successors in office for the use and benefit of Elementary School District #102 of Lake County, Illinois, with the reservation that if said real property ceases to be used for school purposes, then said real property will revert to the Village; and WHEREAS, the transferee municipality has by ordinance declared that it is necessary or convenient for it to use, occupy or improve said real estate. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois : SECTION 1 : Pursuant to the authority granted to Municipalities in Chapter 30, Sections 156 to 158(a) of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the President and Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove are hereby authorized and directed to execute said deed, to the County Board of School Trustees of Lake County and their successors in office for the use and benefit of Elementary School District #102 of Lake County, Illinois, a copy of which deed is attached as Exhibit "A". SECTION 2: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
