STANLEY T. KUS R Bye /. (/‘;42. Date RETURN TO: Verna L. Clayton, Village Clerk Village of Buffalo Grove .r _ . TO: William R. Balling FROM: William H. Brimm DATE: September 6, 1978 SUBJECT: Street and Bridge Resolution Today, we were notified by Lake County that the Village would need to submit a resolution to both county clerks by September 12, 1978 in order to realize the maximum legal levy for Street and Bridge taxes in 1978. The need for such resolution is set forth in the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 11-81-1 and 11-81-2. The maximum levy without resolution is .06/$100 equalized assessed value. If requested by a local municipality, the rate can be increased by . 04 to the total legal maximum of .10/$100. The tax levy ordinance as approved by the Board in August was based on the maximum levy extension ($95,000) . This resolution does not supercede that ordinance, it only affirms the rate of levy. I would ask that Trustee consideration be given at a special regular meeting on September 11, 1978 so that filing could be made by the legal deadline.
