RESOLUTION NO. 78-2J
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY
TO BUFFALO GROVE PARK DISTRICT
Green Knolls Park)
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is the owner of a certain
parcel of real property described herein, and;
WHEREAS, the Village has no immediate use for said real property,
and;
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem it to be in the public in-
terest to have said property be put to public use by deeding same to
the Buffalo Grove Park District, with the reservation that if said
real property ceases to be used for park and/or recreational purposes ,
then said real property will revert to the Village, and;
WHEREAS, the transferee municipality has by ordinance declared that
it is necessary or convenient for it to use, occupy or improve said
real estate, and;
WHEREAS, the Village is to retain exclusive approval of a detention
basin on the subject premises .
It is hereby resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois ;
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the authority granted to Municipalities in
Chapter 30, Sections 156 to 158(a) of the Illinois Revised Statutes ,
the President and Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a Warranty Deed, to the Buffalo
Grove Park District , a copy of which deed is attached hereto as Exhi-
bit "A", covering the following legally described real property:
Outlot A in Green Knolls Unit No. 1 being the
subdivision in the East 1/2 of Section 29 ,
Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the 3rd
Principal Meridian, in Lake County, Illinois ,
according to the Plat thereof recorded in the
office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County,
Illinois on the 6th day of December, 1977 as
Document No. 1884517.
SECTION 2. The deed shall contain the following Reverter Clause :
"In the event the said real estate is not used by the Grantee
for park and/or recreational purposes for a period in excess of six
months, title and possession shall revert to the Grantor. "

SECTION 3. The deed shall contain the following: Subject to :
1. Covenants and conditions and restrictions of record
2. Real estate taxes for years 1977 and subsequent years
3. Village of Buffalo Grove retains exclusive approval as
to a wet detention basin
4. Village of Buffalo Grove retains exclusive approval
authority as to site improvements .
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to the law. This Resolu-
tion shall be passed by a vote of 2/3rds of the members of the legis-
lative body.
