BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
that the President and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to execute an Agreement dated _ 47 /9
1977, between the Village and the Buffalo Grove High School.
Copy of said Agreement is attached and made a part hereof.

' s CONTRACT FOR REGULATION OF TRAFFIC
THIS AGREEMENT is entered into on /9
1977, by and between the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook County, Illinois, an
Illinois municipal corporation ("Village") and Township High School District #214
("Owner") the owner of certain premises legally described as follows:
The Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter
of Section 5, Township 42 North, Range 11 ,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois,
and commonly known as Buffalo Grove High School , Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and
situated within the corporate limits of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Illinois,
Cook County, Illinois. This Agreement is entered into pursuant to the authority
granted in the Illinois Vehicle Code, Illinois Revised Statutes (1976) , Ch. 95i,
11-209.
WHEREAS, Village is a duly organized and existing municipal corporation
under the laws of Illinois, and
WHEREAS, the Owner is the owner of a certain High School as defined
in Illinois Revised Statutes (1976) , Ch. 951, 11-209, and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village wish to provide
for the health and safety of persons using said property and to perform services
and make regulations as authorized in the Illinois Vehicle Code, Ch. 951, 11-209.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, in consideration of
the permission given by the Owner to enter onto the described premises for the
purpose of effecting this Agreement, in consideration of the Village making and
enforcing the said regulations and providing the said service, the parties hereto
agree that the Village is empowered to accomplish all or any of those things
specifically designated in this Agreement.
1. The Village may pass any ordinances and make any regulations
necessary to effectuate the power granted herein. The Village is hereby empowered
to accomplish all or any part of the following within parking areas serving said
High School :
The erection of stop signs, flashing signals or yield signs at
specified locations in a parking area and the adoption of appropriate
regulations thereto pertaining, or the designation of any intersection
in the parking area as a stop intersection or as a yield intersection
and the, ordering of like signs or signals at one or more entrances to
such intersection, subject to the provisions of this Chapter.
The prohibition or regulation of the turning of vehicles or
specified types of vehicles at intersections or other designated
locations in the parking area.
The regulation of a crossing of any roadway in the parking area
by pedestrians.
The designation of- any separate roadway in the parking area for
one-way traffic.
The establishment and regulation of loading zones.
The prohibition, regulation, restriction or limitation of the
stopping, standing or parking of vehicles in specified areas of the parking
area.
The designation of safety zones in the parking area and fire lanes.
Provide for the removal and storage of vehicles parked or abandoned
in the parking area during snowstorms, floods, fires, or other public
emergencies, or found unattended in the parking area, (a) where they
constitute an obstruction to traffic, or (b) where stopping, standing or
parking is prohibited, and for the payment of reasonable charges for such
removal and storage by the owner or operator of any such vehicle.
Provide that the cost of planning, installation, maintenance and
enforcement of parking and traffic regulations pursuant to this Agreement
be borne by the school board.
Contracting for such additional reasonable rules, and regulations
with respect to traffic and parking in a parking area as local conditions
may require for the safety and convenience of the public or of the users
of the parking area.
2. This contract shall be in effect for a period of twenty years.

3. This Contract shall be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, and any fees payable as a result of this recording
shall be paid by the Village. It is understood by the parties that no regulation
made pursuant to this Contract shall be effective or enforceable until three (3)
days after this Contract is recorded.
4. The Village agrees to adopt all ordinances and pass all resolutions
necessary to effectuate the powers it has granted by virtue of this Agreement.
5. This Contract and amendments shall be in writing and shall be
signed by the respective parties-or their authorized agent. Any amendment to
this Contract shall be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois.
The parties have caused this Contract to be executed on the day and
date first above writ.en.
