1977-03-07 - Resolution 1977-20 - Request the United States Postal Service to investigate the need for a new Post Office in Buffalo Grove RESOLUTION NO. 77- o?D WHEREAS, Buffalo Grove has a population of over 20, 000 people, and; WHEREAS, Buffalo Grove will add about 1, 000 residents per year for at least the next ten years, and; WHEREAS, The Wheeling Post Office is fraught with serious traffic problems and is not a convenient distance from Buffalo Grove, and; WHEREAS, There is, in the Buffalo Grove Mall, space large enough to accommodate a proper size Post Office with good parking and easy access to major streets, and; WHEREAS, The Regional Transportation Authority has established a new bus route that will service the Buffalo Grove Mall throughout the daylight hours. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED, That the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois, hereby request that the U. S.
