RESOLUTION NO. 75 —3 7
WHEREAS, signs that have met the provisions of the Boca
Basic Building Code and the Sign Ordinance are
then submitted to the Appearance Commission for
approval of the design, color, etc . ; and,
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the
opinion that the applicant should not have to
be put through the additional work of submitting
the sign to the corporate authorities ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook
and Lake Counties, Illinois, that permits for signs shall
be and are hereby authorized to be issued upon approval of
Appearance Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of the de-
cisions of the Appearance Commission rulings on all signs
shall be given to the President and Board of Trustees within
five (5) days after the decision of the Appearance Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the
Appearance Commission shall refuse to approve a sign/s, the
applicant/s shall have the right of appeal to the President
and Board of Trustees . Such appeal shall be made in writing
within twenty (20) days after notice in writing is given to
the applicant/s by the Appearance Commission of the refusal
to approve the sign/s . Notice to applicant/s shall, among
other things, advise of the applicant ' s right of appeal.
