1975-05-05 - Resolution 1975-23 - Buffalo Grove encourages the Unitred State Congress to extend the General Revenue Sharing Program beyond its planned termination date. Resolution Number 75- 23 Whereas, The United States Congress enacted the General Revenue Sharing Program on September 26, 1972, and Whereas, The President of the United States signed Public Law 92-512 on October 20, 1972, thereby making General Revenue Sharing a reality for municipal- ities and governmental bodies throughout the United States, and Whereas, the Village of Buffalo Grove, Illinois has bene- fitted from the General Revenue Sharing Program to the extent that this Village has been able to undertale important local public improvements including the construction of its first Public Service Center, and Whereas, the receipt of General Revenue Sharing Funds by Buffalo Grove are being used in a manner wholly consistent with the intent of the U. S . Congress and Public Law 92-512, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois that the United States Congress be en- couraged to extend the General Revenue Sharing Program beyond its planned termination date, and that copies of this Resolution be sent to Senators Charles Percy, Adlai Stevenson, and Harrison Williams, Jr. , Congressman Philip Crane, and Representative Chet Holifield, and to the General Revenue Sharing Office, U.
