1974-08-12 - Resolution 1974-17 - Deliniation of responsibilities for Zoning Board of Appeals RESOLUTION NO. 74- / 7 WHEREAS, the Plan Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals have held conferences in connection with reducing the work load of the Plan Commission and the sharing of responsibilities with respect to matters in connection with zoning, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have reviewed and considered their recommendations, and WHEREAS, the Statute gives to the President and Board of Trustees the right to have applications for changes in zoning districts and zoning regulations heard by a "Commission" or "Committee" designated by the corporate authorities; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, that it shall be and is the policy of the President and Board (until changed by subsequent Resolution or Ordinance) that the following shall be the areas of responsibilities of the Zoning Board of Appeals and all applications with respect thereto shall be referred to said Zoning Board of Appeals : 1. All a?plications for special uses other than Planned Unit Developments. 2. All applications for rezoning ,; in residential districts from a less restrictive district to a more restrictive district. 3. All applications for rezoning within the R-1 through R-6 single family districts. 4. All applications for rezoning from B-2 district to B-1 district.
