1972-11-20 - Resolution 1972-36 - Recomended Adoption of a Master Plan for land management RESOLUTION NO. 72-36 WHEREAS, The Master Plan for Village Development is now nearing completion, and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of this Village that a comprehensive plan be followed for orderly Village development, and WHEREAS, the approval of individual developments prior to approval of the Master Plan would reduce the effectiveness of the Master Plan, and WHEREAS, individual changes in zoning prior to approval of the Master Plan could effect the value of said Master Plan, and WHEREAS, zoning and planning authorities throughout the country strongly recommend the adoption and the following of a Master Plan to properly control development in Villages such as Buffalo Grove, and WHEREAS, The Master Plan, when approved, will be of great assistance to the Village President and Board of Trustees in properly evaluating proposed develop- ments before taking action, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and the Board of Trustees that a moratorium on annexations and/or any zoning changes involving more than one acre of land be de- ferred until the Village Master Plan has been duly approved and adopted.
