VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE
WHEREAS, Arthur J. DeKneef did on July 2, 1959 volunteer
his time and services to the Buffalo Grove Police
Department and,
WHEREAS, Arthur DeKneef was on November 3, 1960 promoted
to the rank of Sargeant, and,
WHEREAS, Arthur Ddneef was on January 4, 1962 appointed
Acting Chief of Police of Buffalo Grove and,
WHEREAS, Arthur DeKneef was on March 8, 1962 appointed
Chief of Police of Buffalo Grove and,
WHEREAS, from July 2, 1959 to February 27, 1964 Arthur
DeKneef was to a large extent responsible for the
efficiency and high morale of the Department - was to
a large extent responsible for maintaining a Police
Department in the Village during extremely trying times
and was directly responsible for giving the Village an up
to date, refined Police Force,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, that an honest and
sincere thank you be extended to you Art, for all you have
done for your Community, and I might add, with very little
thanks. For all of your contributions and sacrifices, some
of which I am aware of, I sincerely hope that sometime in
the future you will be associated with the Buffalo Grove
Police Department again in a permanent manner. To your
wife and children they, of course, know of your sacrifices
and must also know that what you have demonstrated and
accomplished can only be done by a truly dedicated man of
which there are too few.
