Mr. Wales said the name will be changed to PLAYER'S Sports Bar & Grill.
The vinyl letters will be the same size, sixteen inch (16"). Player's will be
burgundy ( to match the restaurant decor) and the letters will have a black
shadow outline. Sports Bar & Grill letters will be red. The existing green
bar between the restaurant name and golf club will be removed. The
bottom line with the arrow will remain green.
Ch. Gordon asked Mr. Wales to consider raising the bottom line to make
the connection between the restaurant and golf club more cohesive.
Mr. Wales confirmed that the Saggio wall sign will be removed and will
not be replaced. The holes will be plugged up. If they decide change the
name on the awning, they will submit the copy to the Appearance
Commission.

Mr. Robert Dinsmore (Simon Property Group, Merchants Plaza, P.O. Box

diagram of a 10' x 5' temporary sign at the north end of Town Center is
dated January 30, 1995.
Trustee Marienthal suggested that "Anchor Position Available" should be
changed to Anchor "Site" Available. The Commissioners agreed.
Ch. Gordon expressed doubt that a sign on Rt. 83 will accomplish their
purpose to locate a business on the site.

DRAFT COPY
Corn. Viehman thought the sign is too large because it is really a billboard
and the Appearance Commission has taken a stand against billboards. Even
though the B-5 Town Center Ordinance permits fifty square foot (50 sf.)
ground signs, Corn. Viehman asked that the size be reduced 4' x 8' and
the Commissioners agreed.
The copy was discussed. The Commissioners questioned the reason for
angling "Anchor Site Available" as well as the need for the sign to identify
Town Center when there are ground furniture signs at both ends of the
property. The petitioner has a right to the copy as it was submitted. The
permit would limit the time for one (1) year with one (1) 1-year renewal.
Corn. Cea made a motion to recommend approval of the temporary sign at
the north end of the Town Center as submitted, with the following stipula-
ations: The size should be reduced to 4' x 8' with the copy reduced
proportionally; also Anchor Position Available should be change to Anchor
"Site" Available.
Corn. Weissman seconded the motion.
Roll Call Vote: AYE - Weissman, Viehman, Cea, Smith,
Dorfman and Gordon
NAY - None
Motion Passed - 6 to 0.
Mr. Schar will advise Mr. Dinsmore of the recommendation and that he can
appeal the decision to the Village Board on Feb. 20, 1996.
V. ANNOUNCEMENTS - None.
VI. ADIOURNMENT
Corn. Cea made a motion to adjourn; Corn. Viehman seconded the motion.
