Dear Irving:
This letter will confirm our conversation this morning relative
to exterior illuminated signage for the subject space. It is
predicated on the attached drawing and the verbiage herein
constitutes the approval of Ken Tucker & Associates as agent
for the Landlord of the signage as indicated below:
1. Along Lake-Cook Road we approve of the sign copy
reading "Irving 's for Red Hot Lovers" in one line
of copy centered above the two proposed windows
to be installed in that wall .
a) "Irving's" in script is approved in red lettering
at a height of 24" with a dot over the "i"
b) "For Red Hot Lovers" in block letters is approved
in red lettering at a height of 12" , eliminating
the "hot dog" in the "v" of "Lovers" but retain-
ing the hearts for the "o" 's in the words "For" ,
"Hot" and "Lovers."
2. Along McHenry Road we approve of the sign copy
reading "Irving's for Red Hot Lovers" as indicated
on the attached drawing and as follows:
a) "Irving's" in script , red lettering of a height
of 24" is approved with a dot over "i"
b) We understand that the script nature of the word
"Irving's" makes the "g" extend somewhat lower
than strict adherence to .the criteria will allow,
however, we feel that the signage will benefit
by the existing proportions of this letter and

approve its height providing the Appearance
Commission of Buffalo Grove concurs. We have
no objection to the "g" extending somewhat
"below the line."
c) "For Red Hot Lovers" in block, red lettering on
two lines of copy is approved utilizing a 10"
letter with a separation of 4" between the lines
of copy. The hearts replacing the "o" 's in the
words "For" , "Hot" and "Lovers" are acceptable,
however, the "hot dog" in the "v" of "Lovers" will
be eliminated.
d) The maximum length of the fascia sign facing on
McHenry Road is approved at 15 ' even though this
is somewhat longer than strict adherence to the
sign criteria allows. We feel the signage will
have improved "readability" with this minor
extension and approve of same.
In our opinion, the alterations to the wall along Lake-Cook Road
have necessitated. the above-enumerated changes to our original
agreement . We have formulated these changes in an effort to
provide signage which will enhance the promotion of your business
�,..� and be an attractive addition to the Shopping Center and commun-
ity in general without substantially deviating from the sign
criteria.
We hope the Village of Buffalo Grove will concur with our
efforts in this regard.
