I move we approve signage requested for the
Strathmore Square . Shopping Center for tenants:
H & R BLOCK and HYATT LEGAL SERVICES
with the following stipulations:.
1 . Each tenant will be assigned a hypothetical 10 lineal
feet of frontage and they can utilize 7 feet of that
10 feet for the signage requested, allowing a minimum
.of 1-1/2 feet from each end of that 10 feet.
2. All letters will be fabricated with bronze returns and
white plastic facing; internally illuminated with white
neon tubing.
3. Overall height of the word HYATT will be 15 inches,
with 9 inches of spacing between it and the 6 inch letters
of the words Legal Services. Overall height to be 30 inches.
4. H & R BLOCK letters will be 12 inches with a space of 6
inches between H & R and BLOCK for an overall height of
30 inches.
5. Sign to be approved by Mr. Morelli and Hyatt Legal Services
district office in Kansas.
6. Electrical disconnects if not internal , shall be painted
out to match the background. •
7. IF, for some reason, both signs do not go up as approved,
either sign must be re-centered within 30 days of notification.

Dear Dominic :
As you are aware I have had the buildings at Hidden
Lake Village painted the colors that were approved by
the Appearance Commission last June . In looking at the
colors , I am concerned that the plywood color orginally
proposed is too dark . I would like to change the ply-
wood color to Olympic ' s Opaque stain color FAWN and
leave the trim as proposed . Fawn is several shades ligh-
ter in color and works well with the trim .
I would appreciate it if you would take this request
to the Appearance Commission Meeting , Wednesday night
March 10 and let me know if there is any problem .

reasons:

!Li 1 1)The special lettering associated with Hyatt Legal
Services is an established logo and the tenant needs
it for identification purposes,
2)The Hyatt Legal Services with the 15" inch Hyatt
letters and 6" legal services letters is aesthetically
a much more appealing sign than for Hyatt Legal
Services to be in all 12" letters.
3)The different color requested by Hyatt Legal Services
will aid in the denotation of two separate services
occupying the same space.
4)The two different colors will actually be more aesthetically
pleasing because of the close proximity of the signs.
The sign package was developed to permit tenants to erect
signs without the necessity of coming before the appearance
committee nor seeking the approval of the landlord. However,
it was not intended that all tenants have white 12" helvetica
letters on the storefronts. It was only intended. that any
variations from the standard would require approval on the .
part of the landlord and..also the appearance committee.
