1961-10-02 - Plan Commission - Minutes Oct. 5, 1961 The Village Board of Buffalo Grove Gentlemen; The following is a report of the activities of the Plan Commission. 1. The public hearing regarding the Village Comprehensive was discussed. Also at the meeting were Mr. blafiser and his engineer they have requested %a- a movement of a street in the master pl4a approx. 500 feet North of the present plan. His Engineer said this will help solve a draining problem. Another meeting was decided apon when Mr. Hooper (Village engineer) and Mr. Baughman could be present. 2. The Sign Ordinance was discussed. This is still in the hands of the Village Board to be passed or rejected. 3. A report was given by Mr. K. Lewis Architecural review. He spoke to a Mr. Best of Arlington Heights Building Dept. who said "Buffalo Grove would not need a architectural review board as long as they have a subdivision regulation ordinate and zoning ordinate" Mr. Lewis is also trying to obtain magazines etc. for the Plan Commission. 4. Plan Consuetons requests for contracts from different firms were discussed. One from Eugene Baughman & Asse. has been received. 5. Public Hearing Oct. 2. 1961. The Plan Commission accepted the Comprehensive Plan by p majority vote and would at this time like to present into the Village Board. 6. The Plan Commission will meet with thj�Yheeling P1a Qpmmission) Oct. 18 to discuss school problems. 7. Meeting of Oct. 2. Mr. Moser and bat. McCabe attended the meeting to discuss unit #7 street layouts W. ilooper and Ur. Baughman were present to assist the Plan Commission with of the engineering problems pretaining to unit #7. Mr. Hooper & Mr. Baughman recommended to Mr. McCabe that more information of the Shopping Center and the Multiple-Family dwellings would be neccassary to complete a more workable street layout to conform to the Master Plan, Mr. McCabe will look into the Shopping Center and Multiple Family adjacenbto unit #7 so that street layouts will conform more with the Master Plan to link the three areas together \mew' Minutes of the special meeting held for public hearing by the Planning Commission of Buffalo Grove on October 2, 1981, concerning adoption of the Comprehensive Villas Plan The meeting was Galled to order at 8:00 P. M. at the Louise. Ms Alsott Sehool, Eugene J. Rosette, Chairman, presidia. The following members of the Planning Commission were presents Norman Herta', Alex Stasal, Charles Wilhelm, Charles Gramer, George Krug, Ken Lewis and Eugene Rosette. Also present were Eugene Huxhold and Derrick Palmer, Minutes were t—ten by Renal Groner. No other sitisens of the village wore present. Alex Stasal made the motion that the Comprehensive Village Plan be aseeptede, Charles Wilhelm seconded the motion. Chairman &matte asked for aiseuseion.
