1963-07-25 - Plan Commission - Minutes \ July 25, 1963 Minutes of Plan Commission 11( PRESENT: Derek Palmer, George Krug, Chuck Wilhelm, Alex Stasal, Norm KQ n /4405 Kortus, Edward Fabish, Jack Zodrow and John Hooper. Visitors: Gene Huxhold, William Weiskopf and Bud Chiappe. PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing started at 8:00 P.M. A complete discussion of lection 6 rticle IX of the 1961 Zoning Ordinance was probed deeply by the commission and visitors. The following was recommended to the Village Board for execution: Section 6.1: for one (1) family dwelling, one parking space for each family unit. Section 6.2: for two (2) family dwellings, 1-1/2 parking spaces for each family dwelling unit. Section 6.2a: for three (3) or more family dwell- ings, 1-1/2 parking spaces for each family dwelling unit. Section 6.16: for church, high school, college and university auditorium, one parking space for each 6 seats provided in said buildings and structures. Section 6.14: for stadia, sports arena, audit- orium and gymnasium (other than incidental to a school) one parking space for each 6 seats provided in said structures. George Krug made the motion that the above mentioned changes be submitted to the Village Board for their approval. Derek Palmer second the motion. All in favor. Regular meeting called to order at 9:25 P.M. SWIMMING POOL ORDTNPNCE: No progress. PARKWAY TREES: No Progress. UNIT 7: John Hooper presented the plans of Unit 7 for the commission's recommendation to the Village Board. George Krug made the motion that the plans of Unit 7 be approved as corrected, since all phases of the plan are within the existing Village zoning ordinances. Norm Kortus second the motion. All in favor ex- cept Jack Zodrow who abstained. NEW BUSINESS: Chuck Wilhelm presented a problem regarding the present sign ordinance. There have been complaints from sign-makers that the bonding is too high in proportion to the work being done, especially on small signs. John Hooper stated a point of order in saying that if the grieved parties want action, that they submit a written application to the Zoning Board of Appeals for an authorized variation.
