PUBLIC HEARING
MARCH 20, 1968
Public Hearing called to order at 8:15 p.m.
Attendance: A. Stasal N. Kortus
I. Moore T. Finnegan

Public Hearing #1: There was a petition for annexation to
Buffalo Grove requested by Mary W. Creeley. The petition
involved lots 5, 6 and 41 in the Dun-Lo Highlands, located
at the South West corner of Dundee Rd. and Ellen Dr.
The land involved is approximately 11/2 acres total coverage.
Mr. Elmer Barnes, a real estate broker, was present repre-
senting Mrs. Creeley, and he testified regarding the petition
for annexation as R-1 zoning.
Public Hearing #2: Petition for annexation of Lot #4 in the
Dun-Lo Highlands, located near the South West corner of
Dundee Rd. and Ellen Dr. Petitioners are Lorenz Von Braun
and Exildea J. Von Braun. Mr. Von Braun was present and
testified regarding his request for annexation to Buffalo Grove
with an R-1 zoning. Land involved is approximately acre.
Public Hearing #3: Annexation petition for 8 acres located
north of Dundee Rd. and west of Arlington Heights Rd. , Mr. Olaf
M. Stenborg, Hazel C. Stenborg, and Intercontinental Development
Company being owners of record.
Mr. Howard Borde, Attorney, was present representing the petition-
ers and explained the rough plan for the request of R-9 Planned
Development Zoning. He stated that the annexation plans are for
160 multiple family units consisting of 64 one bedroom and 96
two bedroom units.
The Public Hearing was closed at 8:45 p.m.

PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
MARCH 20, 1968
The regular Plan Commission meeting was called to order at 9:00 P.M.
Attendance: A. Stasal 1A. Kortus
I. Moore T. Finnegan
H. Cimaglio R. Brown
R. Axen C. Giebelhausen
J. Hooper
N. Kortus made a motion to accept the minutes of February 21
with the correction being the name of T. Finnegan added to those
present. I. Moore seconded.
Discussion followed concerning the public hearing on R-1
annexation request by Mary Creeley, land involved being lots
5, 6, and 41 in the Dun-Lo Highlands. I. Moore moved to
recommend the annexation of the property in question with an
R-1 zoning. T. Finnegan seconded. All in favor by voice vote.
Public Hearing #2 concerning lot 4 in the Dun-Lo Highlands
owned by the Von Brauns: C. Giebelhausen moved to recommend
the annexation of lot 4 in the Dun-Lo Highlands as R-1 zoning.
R. Axen seconded. All in favor by voice vote.
Public Hearing #3 concerning the annexation petition for 8 acres
of land to be zoned as R-9 Planned Development, owned by the
�.J Stenborgs and the Intercontinental Development Company. H.
Cimaglio moved to table discussion until the next regularly
scheduled Plan Commission Meeting on April 17. T. Finnegan
seconded. All in favor by voice vote.
R. Axen moved to recommend the approval of variation to the sign
ordinance for Mary Creeley and Lorenz Von Braun with a size
limitation to be placed at 2 feet by 3 feet, there to be no
time element involved (permanent sign) . C. Giebelhausen
seconded. The only dissenting vote was registered by H. Cimaglio.
A request for variation to the fencing ordinance was submitted
by Mrs. J. A. Cooley, 661 Raupp Blvd. , Buffalo Grove. Mrs.
Cooley requested a variation in order to erect a corral type
fence completely surrounding her property lot lines, the size
of the fence to be 3 to 4 feet in height. After discussion,
Mrs. Cooley decided to withdraw her request pending trial of
stickler type bushes such as barberry.
I. Moore moved to adjourn. R. Axen seconded. All in favor.
Meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
