REGULAR MEETING
February 19, 1969
Present: T. Finnegan R. Brown
H. Cimaglio J. Guidotti
C. Giebelhausen M. Krugly
M. Stern (Village Engineer)
Absent: E. Fabish N. Kortus R. Axen
The meeting was called to order at 8:10 p.m. R. Brown moved to
accept the minutes of January 15 and February 5, with correction
that February 5 minutes had erroneously been indicated as January 5.
J. Guidotti seconded. All in favor. T. Finnegan was acting chair-
man because E. Fabish was at Arlington Heights Plan Commission meeting.
Mr. Frciedman requested a waiver of the stamped name on a number of
manhole covers which have already been installed. C. Giebelhausen
moved to waive the need for the imprinted name on the manhole covers
already installed, with the provision that all future covers be im-
printed with "Village of Buffalo Grove" per ordinance. J. Guidotti
seconded. All in favor.
The Travel Trailer Ordinance review was tabled until the next meeting
in order to await a report by N. Kortus.
A request for a marquee sign under the existing local ordinance was
made to be installed at 55 West Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
Mr. Joseph Bulgarelli, owner of the building, was present and showed
a drawing. There is enough space on the marquee portion of the sign
for four rows of 8 in. lettering. It was pointed out that the sign,
as requested, is not a marquee as defined in the sign ordinance and
therefore is not under the jurisdiction of the Plan Commission. Mr.
Bulgarelli was advised to contact the building commissioner.
The attached letter from Levitt and Sons, Inc. , was submitted to the
Plan Commission for the approval of street names. The comments of
the Village Manager, Mr. Bannister, were noted. Police Chief Smith
was asked to make a list of all street names in Buffalo Grove in
alphabetical order. C. Giebelhausen moved to table the approval of
the list to the next meeting in order to compare with the listings
from the Police Department and Post Office. H. Cimaglio seconded.
All in favor.
Mr. Finnegan appointed a subcommittee consisting of T. Finnegan,
H. Cimaglio, R. Brown, and M. Krugly to look into duplication of
street names and numbering systems to see if anything can be accom-
plished to reduce confusion.
Mr. Guidotti and Mr. Giebelhausen were appointed as. a subcommittee to
prepare standard operating procedure for the Plan Commission.
R. Brown moved to adjourn. H. Cimaglio seconded. All in favor. The
meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Henry Cimaglio, Secretary

be granted to the Friedman petition for unmarked sewer covers.
This applies only to present covers. It is also recommended that
all future covers must comply with subdivision regulations and
