1969-04-16 - Plan Commission - Minutes „1PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES REGULAR MEETING April 16, 1969 ttendance: E. Fabish M. Krugly N. Kortus J. Guidotti R. Brown C. Giebelhausen R. Knoeppe1., Architect Absent: H. Cimaglio R. Axen T. Finnegan The meeting was called to order at 8:05 p.m. Mr. Guidotti moved to approve he minutes of the last meeting. N. Kortus seconded. All in favor. M. Krugly moved to continue the Public Hearing on the Arlington Heights Golf Course property to an -unspecified date. J. Guidotti seconded. All in favor. A discussion on a plat of dedication for road right of way insued. The legal description of the plat of dedication is "The South 50 feet of the West 8 acres of the East 30 acres of the South 60 acres of the South half of the Southeast quarter of Section 6 Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the 3rd principal meridian in Cook County, Illinois. ” C. Giebelhausen moved to approve the plat of dedication subject to the legal description approval by the Village attorney. M. Krugly seconded. All in favor. Cock a The en development on the east side of Arlington Heights Rd. south of Lake-Cook Rd. was discussed. It was pointed out that part of the land would be used, conceivably, for a 7-11 store or strip development plan. ""his property is zoned B-3, Planned Business. The plan as presented does not `.limply with Buffalo Grove B-3 zoning, inasmuch as the plan only shows one building. The acreage involved is 4.8. No action was taken at this meeting. The Plan Commission suggested that Mr. Kent check with the Village attorney, Mr. Raysa, on the legal problems, and also with the Village Manager, Mr. Bannister , for interpretation of zoning. Four names were brought up by the Plan Commission for discussion and review as next Chairman of the Plan Commission. These names were as follows: H. Cimaglio R. Axen R. Brc n C. Giebelhausen J. Guidotti moved that the Plan Commission select one name to be the choice j for Plan Commission Chairman to be submitted to the Village Board, selection of name to be voted on by all members of the Plan Commission at the meeting of May 7. C. Giebelhausen seconded. All in favor. '. Fabish appointed N. Kortus as temporary Chairman until a permanent Lairman can be selected. J. Guidotti moved to adjourn. C. Giebelhausen seconded. Al__ i-;.l Discussion on the monotony ordinance is being held up because pre- liminary information from the Village Board indicates that an or- dinance of this type is unenforceable . Further word is being re- ceived from Mr. navea , the Village Attorney. As yet no conies o - revised trailer ordinances have been received from other villages . Various representatives from the Village were present and most in at`.. endanee seem to be in favor of the proposed ordinance. It was noted that there would he a few hardship cases , however. The trailer ordinance should also include items such as boat trailers , etc . Discussion on various methods of alleviating the street name and number problem is tabled until recommendations from the Board are received . Pages 10 through 15 of the sign ordinance were discussed . Further discussion, beginning with article 8 E'i _l continue at the next meeting. tJrdating of the Buffalo Grove zoning map was discussed and it was noted that there were a few discrepancies in the recent printing of the zoning map.
