The meeting was called to order at 5 :05 p.m. M. Krugly moved to approve
`./ the minutes of April 16, 1969, with the correction that the Bob Kett,
Jr. , Development should be named CO.LANDAQ Development. J. Guidotti
seconded . All in favor. -
Mr. Robert Kent and Mr. Bud Bailey appeared before t7he Ccmm .,
discuss a business deveLopment consisting of 4. ee acres, appr'c- i.'ma'tely
at the south east corner of Lake-Cool; and Arlington Heights Roads. The
area in question is currently zoned 8-3, Planned Development. Mr. Kent
submitted Exhibit A, which was discussed .
It was pointed out that a fire lane would be wanted completely around
the large strip store on the preliminary plat. It was also pointed out
that the 7-il store should be moved approximately 15 feet in order to
allow a 25 foot planting area between the 7-11 store and the residential
lots directly to the south.
R. Brown moved to approve the preliminary B-3 Planned Development, with
the provision that the 7-11 store be moved to 25 feet from the south lot
line, leaving a minimum of 15 feet open space, and that the larger strip
store would have a fire lane. It was also moved that the south entrance
on Arlington Heights Rd. be 30 feet from the south east corner of the
property. R. Axen seconded.
A question arose as to the 50 foot set back in accordance with section
4. 1-9I of Article XI of the Buffalo Grove Zoning Ordinance.
R. Brown moved to approve the preliminary B-3 Planned Development with
the provision that the 7-11 store be moved 25 feet from the south lot
line, leaving a minimum of 15 feet open space ; and a waiver of the 50
foot set back in accordance with Section 4. 1-9I of Article XI of the
Buffalo Grove Zoning Ordinance. It was also recommended that the larger
strip store have a fire lane and that the south entrance onto Arlington
Heights Road be 30 feet from the southwest corner of the property. R.
Axen seconded. All in favor.
t./ A utility layout for the street lighting system on Strathmore units
4, 5, and 6 was submitted to the Plan Commission for approval. J.
Guidotti moved that the lighting layout for Strathmore units 4, 5, and 6
by turned over to the Village engineer for his recommendations to the
Plan Commission. H. Cimaglio seconded. All in favor.
M. Krugly moved to recommend to the Village Board that the Plan Commission

have the services of the Village Manager in order to work up a list of
items to be discussed at the Plan Commission meeting. The st i to

Commission meetings each month. B. Berth seconded. All in favor.
J. Guidotti moved that minutes of all workshop meetings be kept and
presented to the Village Board. M. Krugly seconded. All in favor.
The three names requested for a new chairman of the Plan Commission
are as follows : R. Axen, C. Giebelhausen, H. Cimaglio.
R. Axen moved to recommend H. Cimaglio as the Plan Commission choice
for chairman. R. Brown- seconded. All in favor by voice vote.
R. Axen moved that any person being appointed to the Plan Commission
by the Village Board attend a minimum of three meetings prior to
appointment. H. Cimaglio seconded. Vote was 5 yes, 1 no (J. Guidotti) .
Mr. Merrill Hoyt approached the Plan Commission requesting consideration
as a new member. It was determined that he will be moving :into the
Village approximately May 16.
M. Krugly moved to adjourn. R. Axen seconded. All in favor. The
meeting was adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
