1969-07-02 - Plan Commission - Minutes • PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES `./ REGULAR MEETING JULY 2, 1969 Attendance: H. Cimaglio J. Guidotti B. Berth C. Genrich D. Zittzwitz M. Hoyt Absent: N. Kortus M. Krugly B. Brown (Who has officially resigned) The meeting was called to order at 8:07 p.m. Mr. Michael Stearn from Hattis Engineering was in attendance representing the Village Engineer. Also in attendance were two individuals interested in becoming members of the Planning Commission: Stan Haar, 221 Anthony Road, Buffalo Grove, Illinois (Cambridge) Howard Mendenhal, 505 Widener, Buffalo Grove, Illinois (Ballantrae) It was announced that no work shop meeting took place on Jun 25, 1969 due to tornado warnings. It was also announced tha' (thdtmeet- ing of June 18, 1969 had not yet been typed up in final form so approval them was delayed until the next meeting. The second and perhaps final draft of the zoning ordinance relating to planned manufacturing districts MP and M1 manufacturing districts were passed out to the members present for their review in prepara- tion for discussion at the next work shop meeting. There was also , some discussion of the performance standards relating to the manu- facturing districts zoning- ordinance. Mr. Stearn of Hattis Engineering was asked to check into the Glenview zoning ordinance standards as to sound levels and pariculate matters to check them for adequacy. It was also suggested that Mr. Stearn check to see what materials are available in regard to water pollution control. Further dis- cussion was tabled until the next work shop meeting to take place on July 23, 1969. Trailor ordinance material was passed out so that it could be re- viewed before the next regular meeting scheduled for July 16, 1969. The Mill Creek multiple dwelling district area was brought up for preliminary discussion. Drainage of rain water seemed to be the primary concern. Our Engineer advised us that we need a complete sight plan showing elevations to reach an intelligent decision. �-' It was also suggested that the developers prepare an artist con- ception of the outside structure of the buildings. Further matter was tabled until July 16, 1969 when Mill Creek will make a formal initial presentation for preliminary approval. 7/2/47 It was mentioned that the Planning Commission was still waiting for formal Board action relative to the hiring of a secretary for use by the Planning Commission at meetings. Some discussion as the possibility of creating some sort of liason between the Planning Commission and the zoning board of appeals. No action of a concrekte nature was taken on this matter. The work shop meeting scheduled for July 9, 1969 was formally cancelled due to the open hearing on the final disposition of County Line Road scheduled for the same time. The tenative adgenda for the next formal meeting of the Planning Commission will take place on July 16, 1969 as follows: 1. Presentation by Miller Developers of the Mill Creek Plan. 2. Discussion and perhaps action as to trail#r ordinances. t • 3. Probable presentation by C rlenda•c for formal approval of the planned business district located at County Line Road and Ar- lington Heights Road in Buffalo Grove.
