CALL TO ORDER
President Sussman called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Those present stood and pledged allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL
Roll call indicated the following present: President Sussman;Trustees Berman,Stein,Ottenheimer,Weidenfeld,
Johnson and Smith.
Also present were: Dane Bragg,Village Manager;Patrick Brankin,Village Attorney;Jenny Maltas,Deputy Village
Manager; Scott Anderson,Finance Director;Art Malinowski,Director of Human Resources;Katie Golbach,Human
Resources Management Analyst;Brett Robinson,Director of Purchasing;Evan Michel,Management Analyst;Chris
Stilling,Director of Community Development;Nicole Woods,Village Planner;Darren Monico,Village Engineer;
Mike Reynolds,Director of Public Works;Geoff Tollefson,Director of Golf Operations; Deputy Clerk Julie
Dziewior; Police Chief Casstevens;Fire Chief Baker.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS PRESENTATION
Chief Casstevens introduced Katie Risley,Director of Development for Special Olympics Illinois,and Stephen
Katz,Global Messenger for Special Olympics. Ms.Risley thanked the Buffalo Grove Police Department for their
continued contributions to Special Olympics,and Stephen Katz presented an award recognizing the department's
2018 fundraising efforts to Chief Casstevens.
NATURAL AREA PROJECTS UPDATE
Public Works has been actively engaged in re-establishing its natural area. Throughout the process,the Department
has secured the service of Jeff Weiss,who shared a PowerPoint presentation,"Green Infrastructure Project Review", •
highlighting the accomplishments of 2018 and the initiatives for 2019
DRAFT PRAIRIE VIEW METRA STATION PLAN
Mrs.Woods presented an overview,including video,of the Prairie View Metra Station Area Draft Plan to the
Board. This Plan is the result of an intense community outreach and planning process which began in 2018. Mrs.
Woods also outlined the next steps for public engagement prior to requesting the Village Board adopt the Plan at the
April 15,2019 Board Meeting. Further details are contained in the memo to the Board from Mr.Stilling and Mrs.
Woods dated March 4,2019.
BUSINESS LICEWSING
President Sussman has requested a discussion regarding the licensing/registration of all businesses in the Village of \
Buffalo Grove. Mr.Stilling reviewed further details of this proposal contained in his memo to the Board of
February 28,2019.
QUESTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE
President Sussman reviewed the parameters to be followed by speakers and asked if there were any questions from
the audience on items not on tonight's agenda;there were no such questions.
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Weidenfeld,seconded by Berman,to adjourn the meeting. Upon voice vote,the motion was unanimously
declared carried. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
