1961-04-27 - Village Board Special Meeting - Minutes MINUTES OF A SPECIAL METING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK COUNTY,
TT.T.TNOIS, HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 27TH, 1961, AT 8:00 P. R.,
IN THE LOUISA MAY ALCOTT PUBLIC SCHOOL IN BUFFALO GROVE,
ILLINOIS.
l The President called the meeting to order. On roll call the following
were found present:
President Bunescu; Trustees 'salters, Bochniak, Farrington, McGahan and
Frank
Absent: Trustee Dorner
The President stated that this meeting was called per notide to canvass
the ballots of the election of April 18th and to discuss and consider voting
upon radar equipment for the Police Department.
The Clerk opened the Tally Sheets and exhibited them to the Board. The
Clerk then opened and read aloud the Certificate of Results of the election
of April 18th, 1961.
Trustee Bochniak moved that the count be accepted. Trustee Walters seconded
the motion. On roll call the vote was as follows:
AYES: Trustees Walters, Bochniak, Farrington, Frank, McGahan
NAYS: None
The President announced that the following have been elected:
Eugene W. Huxhold Trustee for a four year term
James A. Gillen Trustee for a four year term
Albert Frank Trustee for a four year term
William J. Farrington Trustee for a two year term
Curtis D. Bauer Police Magistrate, four year term
A discussion followed on the purchase of radar equipment recommended by the
Chief of Police. Further investigation was deemed necessary.
Trustee Farrington moved that the meeting adjourn. Trustee Walters seconded
the motion and it was unanimously carried.
