The President called the meeting to order. On roll call the following
were found present:
�./ President Bunescu; Trustees Walters, Bochniak, NcG.ahan, Farrington
Absent: Trustees Frank & Dorner (arrived 3 :50 Ph)
Trustee Walters moved that in the absence of the Village Clerk, Mrs
Rosalie Kaszubowski be approved es acting clerk at a Salary of - 5.00
Trustee h_cGehan seconded the motion. On roll call the vote was as
follows:
AYES : Trustee Walters, Bochniak, NcGehan, Farrington
NAYS: None
Trustee Farrington noted that in the minutes of the January 5th, 1961
meeting it ups Trustee Frank and not Trustee Farrr ngtonwho noVea that
the Board authorize an exnenditure notto excee 4? 0 or tuition
and books for the enrollment of the Building Commissioner in a building
construction class at the Central YMCA. Trustee Bochniak moved that
the minutes of the regular board meeting held January 5th, 1961 and
the adjourned regular meeting held January 9th, 1961 be approved as
written. Trustee McGchan seconded the motion. On roll call the vote
was as follows:
AYES: Trustees Bochniak, McGahen, Farrington; President Bunescu
NAYS:: Done

The President stated that in the April 18th election there will be
3 trustees elected for a ?_ year term, 1 trustee for a two year term
and a Police li zgistrate for e /L year term end that a bulletin was posted
et the office.
The Treasurer read his report covering the period January 5, 1961 thru
.. February 2, 1961, slowing cash in bank of 413,599.16 end a. motor fuel
tax allotment of j 5,722.25.
The Police Activities R e-oort for the month_ of January, 1961 was read.
The total numbers of hours worked in the month of January were 836.5
The ;:Police Tar-istrate then gave his report and stated there wore 2
continuances from January; 14 convictions; 2 dismissals; 1 continuance
to April on summons and iL3.00 turned over to the Village.

Trustee Bochniak read Warrant 71'36. Trustee Walters moved that
Warrant #36 be 'T -roved and Trustee 11cG-ahan seconded the notion.
On roll call the vote was as follows :
AYES : Trustees falters, Bochniak, I cGahen, Farrington
NAYS: None
Eugene J.Iw hold, Chairman of the Plan Commission-Zoning Co mission
Li gave his report. He recommended that the Plan Commission-Zoning
Cone ission be increased from 6 to 9 members and street lights be
installed at the intersection of Buffalo Grove Road and Dundee Road.
He also presented the President and Board the amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance.
Er. Seitz of the Public Service Company was then introduced and
presented a diagram recommending that L Mercury Vaoor lights be installed
at the intersection of Dundee Road and Buffalo :Trove Road at a cost

discussion, Trustee Walters moved that the Village Clerk be directed

Trustee Farrington then moved that the Village President direct a
letter to Tr. Bill Weber investigating the possibility of installing
lights on Aptakisic Road and Route #83. Trustee Bochnia.k seconded the
motion. Trustee LeGehan asked that the rossibility of trimming the
trees and shrubs on the curve also be investigated. On roll call the
vote was as follows :

The President read letter (Document a 7 ) from the Pan Co Inission-
Zoning Commission re_ arding the amendment to the zoning ordinance.
Following discussion Trustee Farrington moved that the Amendment.ent
be given back to the flan- Commission-Zoning Col:-iss_on for correction
of minor errors. Trustee Walters seconded the motion. On roll call
the vote was es follows :

Trustee Bochniak moved that the Plan Commission be increased from 6
to 9 members. Trustee Farrington seconded the notion. On roll call
the vote was as follows:

Scbmelzer, Chairman of the Park Committee recommended that
a Part Time Ihysical Education Instructor be employed for the summer
months. He stated th-t the signs on the ice skating rink ere now
nested.
Trustee I c' fhan then,,r@a_d the Preliminary Report from the Police
Committee (Document Al) . A discussion iollo ted and trustee I•icGGahon
stated there will be further investigation of on insurance --rogren
for the police at future meetings.
Mr. Venetianer, Building Commissioner stated he issued permit for
the bowling alloy. I-le also recommended that the building inspectors
be included in future insurance orograms because of risks they incur
while inspecting buildings under construction.
The president read Ordinance 7(0-61-2 amending ordinance -governing
time ;end „lace of regular and special meetings of the Board of Trustees.
Spelling of Bernard Drive was noted and corrected and Trustee Bochniak
moved that Ordinance 10-61-2 be adopted. Trustee Farrington seconded
the motion. On roll call the vote was as follows :

NAYS: None
The president read Ordinance0-61-3 concerning minors. Following
discussion Section 4 was eliminated end Trustee I-IcGahan moved Ordinance
J0-61-3 be adopted. Trustee Farrington seconded the motion. On roll
call the vote was as follows:
AYES: Trustees Bochniak, NcGahan, Farrington, Frank, Dorner
NAYS : Trustee Walters
The president stated that the Salt Spreader had been picked up end
the intersections salted during the snow.
A discussion was had on the dutch elm disease. Trustee NcGa,han moved
that the Board authorize the expenditure not to exceed _ 200.00 to
remove the diseased dutch elm and that tests be made on all elms in
the vicinity and the Village Clerk be directed to present a bill to
the property owner for said service. Trustee Farrington seconded the
motion. On roll call the vote was as follows :

John Hooper stated that he has not yet been able to contact the owner
of the aerial on Lincoln Terrace. Ed Venetianer stated that the man
did not have a permit. After discussion the Building Commissioner was
directed to inform the owner to apply for permit and issue a summons
if the permit was not applied for within a week.
The president stated that February 15th, 1961 is deadline for display
of vehicle stickers.

Mr. Raysa stated that a fixed salary must be cbtermined for the
Police E e,istrate. This should be done by the April, 1961 meeting.

recommending John h. Ruck and Jac A. i:tauber be certified Regular
Reserve Policemen and Charles G. Kramer, Michael J. DtAmore, and
Raymond P. Kerlin be r m-,ointed s-�ecic.1 policemen. Trustee Bochniak
