MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT& BOARD OF TRUSTEES

CHAMBERS AT VILLAGE HALL,50 RAUPP BOULEVARD,BUFFALO GROVE,ILLINOIS,

CALL TO ORDER
President Sussman called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Those present stood and pledged allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL
Roll call indicated the following present: President Sussman; Trustees Stein,Ottenheimer,Weidenfeld,Johnson,
Smith and Pike.
Also present were: Dane Bragg,Village Manager;Nicholas Standiford,Acting Village Attorney;Chris Stilling,
Deputy Village Manager;Art Malinowski,Director of Human Resources;and Evan Michel,Management Analyst.
PROCLAMATION—OLYMPIAN MEGAN BOZEK
The Village Board read a Proclamation recognizing Megan Bozek on her exemplary hockey career and Olympic
Silver Medals. Ms.Bozek serves as a stellar example to everyone in Buffalo Grove of what can be achieved
through hard work and dedication. Ms.Bozek was presented with a commemorative street sign for Megan Bozek
Way,as she was congratulated by the audience and the Board.
Ms. Bozek thanked everyone for the recognition,and briefly recalled her incredible trip to Beijing adding that she
was honored and humbled to be a part of it.
President Sussman declared a recess from 7:37 P.M.until 7:52 P.M. for a reception for Ms. Bozek.
ORDINANCE NO.2022-23—COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
Moved by Smith, seconded by Johnson,to pass Ordinance No.2022-23,authorizing the Village Manager to enter
into a Collective Bargaining Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding with the Metropolitan Alliance of
Police,Police Patrol Officer Chapter#672.
Mr. Malinowski reviewed the proposed ordinance,details of which are contained in the Agenda Item Overview
prepared by Mr.Bragg.
Upon roll call,Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 6—Stein,Ottenheimer,Weidenfeld,Johnson, Smith,Pike
NAYS: 0—None
Motion declared carried.
QUESTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE
President Sussman reviewed the parameters to be followed by speakers and asked if there were any questions from
the audience on items not on tonight's agenda;there were no such questions.
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Johnson,seconded by Stein,to adjourn the meeting. Upon roll call,Trustees voted as follows:
