BUFFALO GROVE DAYS SITE PROPOSAL

before the Board; she then stated that the recommendation for the Buffalo Grove
Days site is Busch Grove; she explained the reasons for the recommendation,
details of which are contained in the minutes of the December 21, 1993
informational meeting; she reviewed the proposal for Busch Grove and referred to
site plans of the area.
Discussion then took place focusing mainly on lighting, parking, possible rain,
traffic, and location of the fireworks. Mrs. Winstead replied to questions and
comments from the Board.
Two residents of Lockwood Drive stated that they believe Busch Grove is a good
site eventually, but they believe the move is too quick and the committee should
keep the location where it is until the Park District passes the referendum for
the Busch Grove site.
Moved by Rubin, seconded by Kahn, to accept the recommendation of the Buffalo
Grove Days Committee to move the site of Buffalo Grove Days to the Busch Park
area, with the understanding that, at least for this year, the parade is going
to remain where it has been, and that the Committee will seek the cooperation of
the Park District.
