MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE FOREIGN FIRE TAX OF THE VILLAGE OF
BUFFALO GROVE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 50 RAUPP BOULEVARD, BUFFALO
GROVE, ILLINOIS ON THURSDAY, MARCH 17, 2016
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:20 AM by
2. Member Elections
Motion made by FF McCarthy to retain the slate from the 2015 calendar year, seconded
by FF Anderson.
Motion passed all in favor.
3. Bylaw Amendments
Motion made by FF Anderson to amend the following bylaws to be voted at the next
meeting, seconded by Navarro.
Amend By Laws of BG Foreign Fire Tax Insurance Board: Article X Section C:Add
Subsection(1) - 'All requests shall be completed on the Official FFTB Request Form,
minimum of 5 days prior to the upcoming meeting and 8 copies made. 7 copies go to the
Board members and 1 copy to the Deputy Chief. Note: the 8th copy is for DC Wagner,
so that he is aware of possible shared costs and assist in Article X Section(A)-Fire Chief
Designee"

Motion to approve minutes by Beck, second by McCarthy. Motion passes all in favor.

Motion to approve treasurer's report by Beck, seconded by Herrmann. Motion passes all in favor.

Beck makes a motion to discuss, seconded by McCarthy. Motion made by
Anderson to approve the purchase, seconded by Navarro.
Motion does not pass, 4-1
2. Treadmills
Fitness equipment(FF Pasquarella)
This item was tabled because FF Pasquarella was not present.

The machines have been delivered, a permit has been pulled. Installation of
plumbing is pending the availability of PW.

The airbags were purchased and are in service.
New Business & Motions
1. Funding for training classes (FF Otto)
Motion to discuss made by Anderson, seconded by McCarthy.
Motion make by McCarthy to approve proposal, motion does not pass, all in
favor.
2. Internal member elections
Motion made by FF McCarthy to retain the slate from the 2015 calendar year,
seconded by FF Anderson.
Motion passed all in favor.
3. By-law amendments
Motion made by FF Anderson to amend the following by-laws to be voted at the
next meeting, seconded by Navarro.
4. Amend By-Laws of BG Foreign Fire Tax Insurance Board: Article X: Add Section
(E)
"Sunset Clause, all purchase/service requests approved by the board shall be
fulfilled by the requester within 45 days. Request/purchase order not fulfilled
within that time frame shall be voided for payment."
5. Amend By-Laws of BG Foreign Fire Tax Insurance Board: Article X: Add Section
(F)
"EMS-Fire equipment purchase approval, all requests pertaining to ems or fire
equipment purchases shall require all 7 board trustees to be present for a vote."
