events we would like to budget for
o Put on the agenda for the July meeting
VII. Sub-Committee report
• Buffalo Grove Days—Debbie Verson
o General Info: "The entertainment has been moved back to Mike Rylko
Park. There will be a band Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and a DJ
before the bands. No fireworks this year. The Village is working on
securing golf carts. There will be picnic tables spread out in the field but
no separate tables and chairs. No food tent but they are working on food
trucks. The carnival will take up their normal space and a part of where
the food tent would be, but not the entire area. We have NO, I repeat NO
budget from the Village. They will take care of golf carts, Porto-potties,
and possibly signage." - update via email from Debbie Verson on
6/22/2021 at 9:51 pm
• Fun & Food: "The committee is aware that we are planning on doing
Buddy Baseball Thursday evening. We're good for the carnival on
Monday, 10:00-11:30. The village and police dept. will evaluate whether
or not we can distribute wristbands when people drive in and how that
may affect traffic. Paulette will be getting the wristbands from the carnival
on Saturday. The committee is not sure if they will be providing ice for the
weekend. I asked again about Getting a DJ for Monday during our event.
Originally they said no, that that may have changed. Since we have NO
budget, we would be responsible for funding any type of entertainment or
finding someone to donate their time. I also spoke with Dorflers.
Sandwiches will be $3.45 this year, up from $1.45 last time. Their costs
have gone up and since they're not open Sundays, they would have to
pay people to come in and prepare the sandwiches. We can still reach
out to McDonald and Culvers, if we want to. I don't know if the food trucks
will be available Monday during our event." - update via email from
Debbie Verson on 6/22/2021 at 9:51 pm
