Call to order at 7:05 PM • Commissioners Present: Rick Kahen, Marty Sussman, Lexi Robinson, Deb Verson, Mark Weiner, Dean Klassman, David Morton, Donna Garfield, Jack Shapiro, Beth Shapiro • Also Present Trustee Liaisons Les Ottenheimer and Dave Weidenfeld • Commissioners Absent: Geri Miller Brown, Leo Njongmeta, Larry Sweica, Judy Samuels • Staff Liaison Present: Brian Sheehan • Also Present: Guest and Village President Beverly Sussman II. Old Business • Roots Autism Solutions (school for young children with Autism) opened up in Buffalo Grove a few months ago - we have not heard back from them yet, Marty will follow up V. State ID card follow up • Marty met with Terry Link and Bill Bogdin to pass along information from the states that have these cards through their police databases (NY, IA) • Currently, the IL Secretary of State is not authorized to share information about diagnoses, medical conditions, etc. - Marty is working hard to help push this along in the state VI. Buffalo Grove Days wrap up 0 Buddy Baseball was good! - Here is a link to view the photos! i. https://drive.google.com/open?id=19felc-oKf- RkN3L1JZFljWViROdr3Jtd • Shuttles - skate park was a busy parking lot, next year we could have designated spots for carts and 1 floater, some of the golf carts were loud or died during the night • Fun and Food was good - there were a few issues about our location inside the tent, next year we could have 1 point person i. Food was good, but we had too much ii. CRD members and BG Days Committee members should not be eating the food until after the Residents eat • Smallest turn out we have had - lots of rain! VII. Chairman's report • None VIII. Marketing report • None IX. Commissioner reports • Next meeting November 28, 2018 X. Staff Liaison report • Capital Development Board released the new Illinois Accessibility Code • Shared parking aisles will be allowable, limited on diagonal spaces XI. Trustees Reports • 501C3 update, the Village Board and staff are in conversations about a company that would help set up the fund for a reasonable fee, but the Village would run the fund - this could open up potential grant opportunities XII. New Business • CRD members would like to do Bowling with Buddies again, Rick will reach out to the Rotary Club • Motion to skip December 2018 meeting: David Morton • Second: Mark Weiner XIII.
