• Food
i. Around 150 people showed up, weather was a bit iffy
this year so less people attended
ii. Donated the leftover sandwiches (a few hundred),
water, and chips to a local shelter
1. Jack received a nice, hand-written thank you
note from the shelter (Lake County Haven),
which he read aloud to the commission
iii. Next year, should we cut back on the food? How
can we improve our publication of the event
next year?
1. Contacting group homes
iv. Should we reconsider where the food is located
within the tent for next year?
v. Recommendation: 1 point person on the day of the
event to be in charge of decision-making/discussing
with the consultants/BG Days Committee
• The number on the website about BG days weather
updates was outdated (from 2014)
• Handicap shuttles/parking went well
i. There were a few instances where CRD members
who volunteered/signed up to drive were informed
(from other committees or organizations in the
village) that other individuals would be taking their
spots driving
ii. Suggestion: is there a way to move the location of
the path (between the two bathrooms and towards
the skatepark) - or a way to mark off a safe path for
the golf carts?
iii. Suggestion: each cart should have a designated
route
iv. Police officers near the handicap parking lot (at the
fitness center) left around 9pm, this made it difficult
for those needing rides from the handicap parking lot
to get rides because there was no one to contact
mobile com
