Budget Discussion
• $700 a year budget, +additional grants, this year spent $500 ($447 on Bowling with Buddies and candy
for senior expo)
• We have leftover money in our budget
• We can use money in the budget for candy for the parade at BG days
• All money/purchases must go through Brian (staff liaison) before being made - DO NOT go out and
purpose on your own or it will be considered a donation to the village
• *Go through approval process with Brian*
• Don't worry where the money is coming from, Brian will take care of that on his end
Trustee Update
• Dave -there could be a way to get grants if the foundation is set up (process for this is moving along)
• Invested the cost of a Miracle Field $300,000
Woodman's - opening date labor day, will have mobile carts and handicap spaces
Bowlero Event
• Wait to discuss until more members are present
• Marty will get pictures from the event from Steve Balinski at Rotary meeting tomorrow 5/24
BG Days
• Issue from last year = several people calling the same vendor, we need to have 1 point person to
contact the business owners = this information will also be added to the minutes
• Sandwiches should be wrapped, not just held together with toothpicks -this was messy
• Debbie will decide who will call which vendors
• We should have enough boats, pasta bowls, and clamshells for this year
• We will need napkins and silverware (can we get this from any restaurants)
• The Village has an account with GFS- we should be able to get food from there
• Parade -yes,just use the truck and throw candy — does anyone know any volunteers and/or walkers
to give candy?volunteer hours for scouts?
o Rick will get the application for the parade
Fun and Food
• Reviewed/revised registration form for Fun and Food
• Last year at Fun and Food someone was selling soda (from one of the non-profits) and someone was
selling cookies -this will NOT be allowed this year
• Rick will ask the comfort dogs to come again
• No goody bags will be given this year
• Should we include a photo release so we can use the photos for marketing purposes? — Trustees will
follow up on this
Buddy Baseball
• T-shirts for buddy baseball = we have a lot of t-shirts in many different colors (about 60 t-shirts)
0 9 S, 19 M, 15 L, 8 XL (in orange) -we could probably end up just needing to order 50 more
shirts -we will check pricing
o This is an election year, we cannot use politicians sponsorships on the backs of the shirts, this
creates a conflict of interest for the village
o Rick will check on the pricing for shirts
Marketing Subcommittee Update
• Put some brochures together so we can pass them out to inform others about the events we put on
(Fun and Food, Bowling with Buddies, Buddy Baseball)
• A CRD Facebook page or instagram account is NOT permitted by the village, all social media
communications must go through communications@vbg.org-we can draft
