The meeting was called to order at 7:01
The minutes of the last meeting were discussed. Don made a motion to accept the minutes.
Debbie seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
Chairman's Report: Paulette Greenberg/JV Springman
Paulette stated that JV no here tonight.
Paulette stated that since Jackie is chairing the parade, she will no longer chair the BBQ
Challenge. Don will continue on as chair.
Police: Robert Broussard/Tara Anderson/Frank Horbus
Bobby emailed Jane that due to staffing issues, there would not be police representation for
the committee meeting. He sent his report.
• The department of homeland security has confirmed receipt of their items requested
for the festival and can fulfill said request at this time.
• Mike clarified that these items include the misters and light towers.
• Lieutenant Anderson has been in contact with the park district on parade staging
and parking and provided tentative staging and dispersal maps.
Parade: Jackie Beegun/Rodney Odelson
Rodney was not present.
Jackie was not present.
Paulette stated that they have 14 entries so far. They expect more politicians in the future.
Mobile Com: Paul Zucker
Paul said that they would be using Red Sky Warning again this year for weather alerts and
updates. Paul is also requesting a day-by-day schedule of the festival to know how to staff
Mobile Com.
Fun and Food: Debbie Verson/Judy Samuels
Debbie was not present.
Judy said that there was nothing new. She asked about the cut off for sign requests. Mike
said that it was the first week of August.
Judy is also requesting the times of events to schedule the courtesy shuttle volunteers.
Fire Department: Joe Welter
Joe was not present.
Sponsorship: Wendy Friedman/Mike Terson
Dani stated that they have secured sponsors for the cups and wrist bands.
Dani stated that thus far, they have received $8,500 in money. They have received $20,000
in pledges.
Public Works: Chris Chase
Jim stated that they are working on the revised layout to put the map together.
Mike stated that they need the work sheets from each sub chair to determine what is
needed and what is the budget. These work sheets will be needed by Monday July 1 Ith
Paul, Doug and Adam requested a copy of the layout of the festival.
Food Trucks: Amanda Busch/Megan Baird/Don Geno
Chuck has contacted Continental, Sal and Tony's, and Dengeo's to provide breakfast on
Monday but he has not received any responses back yet.
General Information
• 17 food trucks have confirmed the dates assigned to them
• The Park District is finalizing 4 more food truck applications/payments
They are looking for a breakfast food truck to support the car show on Monday.
Rise and Dine cannot staff a food truck that day
• They have 6 food trucks on Thursday, 14 on Friday, 13 on Saturday with split
shifts, 13 on Sunday with split shifts. Chuck asked if we need more than one food
truck on Monday

Dani stated that they have secured their liquor license from the Village. They are working
at getting the state license.
They will be working with the beer distributor about the variety of beers. The brewery
hopes to create one for BG Days.
Chuck stated that they will use 6 total radios. Two behind the house, 3 in the beverage tent
and 1 for the manager on site.
Business Fair/Arts and Crafts: Brad Schencker
Andy spoke with Brad who is working to get 40-50 Arts and Crafts and Business Fair
booths combined. Brad told Andy they are already about half way there.
Set Up/Take Down: Public Works
Paulette asked about the final table and chair order, which has not gone in yet. Mike stated
he needs a final count from the sub chairs.
Kids Craft Tent: Lindsay Grandt/Brian O'Malley/Jimmy Mix/Jane Primack
Chuck still planning to have kid's hour, with possibly an entertainer a face painter and
more.
Jane explained how she plans on running the crafts this year. She just needs to know where
that will be. She will be providing crafts during the 1:30 to 3:00 Kid's Hour.
Grilling Challenge: Don Geno
Don stated that they have 3 people registered for the BBQ Challenge. It is still early.
Don stated that he will need tables and chairs. Don said that the judging tent is a question.
He is not sure where that will go.
Don is looking for sponsors for his event.
Tim stated that he will need to order the aprons by mid to end of July.
Entertainment: TJ Wilkes/Mike Terson
The main entertainment is set and unchanged from the last meeting. It is listed below.

They are still working on the Kid's Hour entertainment. It is not locked in yet.
Technical Production: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe
Adam and Doug have been working on a deal for cameras for the video wall and will live
stream the duck race on the video wall.
Doug stated that in the past we have had a couple of table and chairs, behind the main
stage for the band's family and friends. Chuck stated that the Park District would like to
consider using the "Green Room" at the fitness center instead. It was explained that the
family and friends wish to be behind the stage when the band is performing.
Adam said that they are still looking into purchasing camera equipment for the video walls
as opposed to renting. Adam said that they will look at cost and availability
Adam asked for confirmation and received that there will be 2 video wall boards. He is
looking for videos from the Village to add to the boards, maybe something from the
Village Board itself to put up there.
Adam asked about the time for Buddy baseball Saturday. Judy stated that it will be at 5:00.
Dean is looking into a DJ for the event. Doug and Adam usually supply additional
microphone for the game.
Marketing/Publicity Mike Terson/Jennifer Johns/Wendy Friedman/Marc Spunt
Marc could not attend but emailed his report to Jane
Marc stated that he is working with the Park District and once the website is up
and running, he will update Facebook with more details.
Chuck stated that Erika has set up a private website, placing the entire website on it for the
review of the committee.
Paul asked when he can receive the schedule for the festival.
Clicks and Shutters: Marian Rodriquez
Marian has no report.
Marian stated that she parks at the BG Fitness Center for the festival and needs help
getting to the parade and to Buddy Baseball without moving her car. Paulette stated that
someone would get her there in a golf cart.
Car Show: Marian Rodriquez
Marian asked for help distributing flyers for the car show at various car shows in the area.
The flyer is done. She needs to get the registration form up on the website BGdays.com
She also wants mentioned on the website that no pets allowed at BG Days.
Information Booth Debbie Rybarczyk
Debbie has no report.
Carnival: Paulette Greenberg
Paulette stated that the prices are out for the carnival. They are increased but less than
what is being charged at Frontier Days, which uses the same carnival company.
Village Liaison: Mike Skibbe
Mike states that he wants the worksheets for each event from the sub chairs, including
where and when the event will be. It also needs to include the number of tables and chairs
needed. The sheets are due by July 11 th.which is right before our next meeting. Jane
offered to send out reminders to the committee.
Judy asked about the budget for CRD. Mike told her the sandwiches should be coming out
of the CRD budget. Tom stated that he needs the info about the t-shirts sooner than later.
Mike stated that the buses will be about 30%more this year due to fuel costs.
There will be no busing to the parade. Resident can park around the residential streets as
in the past.
Tara, Rodney and Jackie will reach out to the Park District about use of Willow Stream
parking lot for staging of the parade.
