Ed made a motion to accept the minutes. Jacki seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Co-Chairs: Paulette Greenberg/Eric Gordon Paulette stated that there are 15 days to go. She said that it will come together. Paulette stated that there will be no meeting next week. They will be at the vender meeting. Paulette stated she has the parking passes. She will hand them out at the last meeting, August 27th Picture day will be the last meeting, August 27th. We will wear our tie dyed t-shirt. The picture will be taken at 6:30 in the chamber room with the meeting to follow at 7. Police: Michelle Kondrat/Robert Broussard Michelle has no report. Michelle noted that there have been question about coolers which are allowed to be brought in. We can't prohibit them. Parade: Rodney Odelson/Lee Orlov/Ken Lazar Rodney announced he had the plaque from Crown Trophies to honor Jeff Berman as Grand Marshal of the 2019 BG Days parade. Rodney said that basically we got $200 worth of trophies for free from Crown Trophies. Rodney stated that he has 69 entries in the parade. Seventeen of them are businesses and have paid to be in the parade. Rodney stated he has a sign up at the front table. He needs help passing out flyers on Friday around 5:30, Sunday morning at 7:00 to place the markers for the parade route and will need parade marshals to arrive at 9:00. . Alan stated that he will add Crown Trophies to the in bind donation list. Mobile Com: Paul Zucher Paul stated that he will need a list of people from Rodney who will need radios for the parade. Fun and Food: Rick Kahen/Debbie Verson Debbie stated that the courtesy shuttle sign up is on the front table. There are still openings for drivers.. Fire Department: Joe Welter Joe was not present. Park District: Ryan Risinger Ryan was not present. Public Works: Dave Haisma/Mike Reynolds Dave stated that today is the deadline for anyone needing signs. Sponsorship: Mike Reynolds Mike stated that they have 15 donors paid for a total of$26,350. He also has 6 committed donors that have not paid $8950. Mike said that Matt still has 7 in the hopper to work out for possible donations. Food Tent: Sarah Lee/JV Springman Sara was not present. She emailed her report to Jane. Sarah emailed that the vendor meeting for the Food Tent will be August 20t' at 7:00 at the Chamber office. Sarah gave a HUGE thank you to JV for filling in for her as she will be traveling at the time of that meeting. Not For Profit: Mike Reynolds Mike stated that they are all set. They will have a meeting next Tuesday to go over the rules and regulations. Then they should be good to go. Beer Tent: Brad Schencker Brad stated that they will be serving predominately Miller products. Buffalo Creek Brewery from Long Grove will be providing the craft beer this year. They wanted to stay local. When asked, Brad stated that they charge $7 per beer. Brad asked and Dave confirmed that the beer serving trailer will be delivered Thursday by 10 AM. When asked, Brad said that they have the Basset training under control. Business Fair: Brad Schencker Brad stated that they have 18 businesses signed up. They are still collecting people. Set Up/Take Down: Marc Spunt Marc asked for volunteers on Thursday night at 9:30 to change the Bingo Tent into the Food Tent. Paulette stated that this year we have help on Monday for take down. The Boy Scouts will be there as they are working on community volunteer hours. Arts Fair: Jackie Beegun/Sharon Borstein Sharon stated that she has 19 artists and 18 booths. There are several that have not paid yet. She is still trying to contact them. Sharon stated that everything is in good order with a nice variety of fine art. She has one booth of kid's artwork. Not for Profit Booth Management: Arti Sinha Paulette stated that she has 14 signed up for the booths. Most will be there Sunday, with a few who can't come on Monday. Paulette stated that they are not being charged. They are not allowed to sell or serve food. Kids Craft Tent: Jane Primack/Carol Irvin Jane stated that the supplies have been ordered and have arrived. She continues to try to contact the person at St. Mary's who said she could provide volunteers for the tent but has been unable to connect. Jane said she is good for cans this year. She still needs tiles if anyone has a source or connection. Grilling Challenge: Ed Bjes Ed stated that he sent out an email to the committee members about judging. He suggests that you respond to him, even if you are not sure if you can show up. Paulette stated that the aprons here. They are on the back table. Please do not take them as they are for the grillers only. If there are extras after the challenge, committee members can take one. Ed stated that the trophies are ordered. Entertainment: Karen Danenberg/Marlene Kozak Karen stated that everything is fine and is rolling along well. They are good. Technical Production: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe Doug stated that all set with Gand for One Night with Queen. They are providing the back line. Doug said that the band is not bringing a trailer. He is not sure if they are bringing a bus. If they do we will have to provide power, Karen stated that she will take care of the hotel and food. Doug stated that Bob Boxer will help out with the sound for the parade. Eric said that he has people looking for something to do. Doug stated that he needs people to collect chairs from Main Stage field and return them back to the Beer Tent. Doug says this is a constant problem with people taking the chairs from the Beer Tent. At the end of the night, they need to be returned Doug sad that on Thursday night, he will need help moving the risers from Bingo Tent to the Kids Entertainment tent. When asked, Paulette stated that we will have the gators on Thursday Paulette stated that there is one more addition for entertainment for the entertainment for the Car Show Monday Public Works has a band that will play after the Stingrays. The group is called Rick's Podium. When asked, Mike said they only need 15 minutes between acts. They will put the drum kit together ahead of time Marketing/Publicity: Alan Danenberg Alan stated that he continues keeping the website updated as he gets more Food Tent information from Sarah. He continues to add in kind donors. He said he needs a list of stores donating prizes to put them on the website. Clicks and Shutters: Marian Rodriguez/Randy Kittell Paulette stated that committee members should wear their tie dyed t-shirts for the committee picture at our last meeting on August 27`h. The group picture will be taking in the Chamber room at 6:30. Car Show: Cody and Diane Bartlett Diane stated that she needs volunteers at the Car Show starting at 7:00. Diane sated that she needs extra orange cones Paulette said to talk to Dave. Information Booth/Ice Man: Marc Spunt Marc had no report. Carnival: Paulette Greenberg Paulette states that she had no report about the counter. sales for tickets. She also had no idea about online on sales. Village Liaison: Mike Reynolds Mike had no report. Trustee Liaison: Andy Stein/Eric Smith Andy and Eric had no report. Your 2 Cents Worth: All committee members Paulette stated that she had received a check for $100 from someone who wants to sponsor the baggo contest. Brad said that be will reach out to him. The donor will get a booth in the Business Fair, not the art fair, as he assumed. Paulette stated that she is working on an in kind donation from the Ax place next to Jimmy John's in Town center, She is also working on gift cards for the BBQ Challenge prizes. Menards will also be providing prizes for the BBQ challenge and the Car Show Mike stated that he will add the water and paper towels to Woodman's in kind donation. Steve Antman asked about Friends of the Fest donations. There is no big board but Mike says they still accept donation for this. Rodney made a motion to adjourn. Jackie seconded the motion.
