The meeting was called to order at 7:06.
Chairman's Report: JV Sprinman/Paulette Greenberg
JV welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Paulette stated that she put in the Village E-news and also on the BG Days Facebook page
that we are looking for vendors for Arts and Crafts, for the Business Fair and for non-
profits. Each included and email link. ..
Paulette also stated that the insurance information that was presented a couple of months
ago is gone. The Village has a new info sheet about the coverage all volunteers are
provided by the Village as a supplement to their own insurance. This would cover the
volunteer in situations where accidents/problems occur while volunteering for the Village.
Paulette, as an insurance adjuster, looked it over and it is fine. Members will receive it
possibly next month but no one will be asked to sign it.
Police: Vince Positano/Michelle Kondrat
Michelle is back and said she and Vince have no report.
Parade: Rodney Odelson/Murray Sprung/Lee Orlov
Rodney stated that he has 21 applications for the parade.
He has 1 politician and 1 business application..
Mobile Com: Paul Zucker
Paul was not present and emailed his "no report"to Jane.
Fun and Food: Rick Kahen
Rick said for the past couple of years, there has been no RSVP for the Monday program.
Email response did not work. Rick stated that this year, they will be trying a form on line
with one click to answer. Alan asked for any changes about the program, including
response. Alan will post in on the website and and place it in the brochure.
Fire Department: Joe Welter
Joe was not present.
Park District: Ryan Risinger
Ryan was not present.
Public Works: Dave Haisma/Mike Reynolds
Mike had no report.
Sponsorship: Matt Settler
Matt was not present.
Mike stated that he has a sponsor, Belmont Assisted Care, for $500 for the handicapped
shuttle.
Food Tent: Matt Settler
Matt was not present.
Mike stated that Matt has 7 commitments for the Food Tent, all returning people from last
year. He is still searching out vendors. He has a June Vt deadline.
Beer Tent: Chamber
Paulette stated that a committee member was interested in the Chamber procuring a wine
vendor for the Beer Tent this year. Brad stated that Roger talked to 2 area wineries and no
one wants to do it. That is the reason that the Chamber sells single serve bottles. Paulette
stated that she thought the member had a vendor in mind.
Brad said that Roger sent out bids to 3 craft beer providers, with 2 of the bids returned.
Set Up/Take Down: Eric Gordon
Eric was not present and emailed his "no report"to Jane.
Arts and Crafts: Jackie Beegun/Sara Lee
Jackie stated that they have 12 confirmed and paid vendors. Jackie said that a lot of activity
is cooruing..
Kids Craft Tent: Jane Primack/Carol Irvin
Jane had no report.
Grilling Challenge: Eric Gordon/Ed Bjes
Eric was not present and sent his "no report to Jane.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg/Marlene Kozak
Karen stated that things are slowly finalizing. She has booked Sting Ray for Monday. They
play 50's and 60's music. They will play in the Beer Tent for 2 hours on Monday for the
car show.
Technical Production: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe
Doug had no report.
Marketing/Publicity Alan Danenberg/Penni Raphealson
Alan will send out a PDF of last year's schedule and brochure. Jane will send it out to the
committee. Alan asked that all chairpersons review their information and make
changes/corrections as needed. Alan asks for it to be emailed back to him. If the
information is correct, Alan request that chairpersons email confirmation that the info was
reviewed that it looks good. He wants it return by the end of next week. He understands
that there may be changes before it goes to press. He wants to start with a clean format to
work with. .
Alan stated that Perini will help and assist with marketing. She will be doing the brochure
Clicks and Shutters: Hal Norman/Jim Pawlak-
Hal emailed his "no report"to Jane.
Car Show: Cody and Diane Bartlett
Diane had no report. She is looking for raffle prizes. She asks that you see her if you have
anything.
Information Booth/Ice Man: Marc Spunt
Marc was not present and emailed his "no report"to Jane.
Carnival: Debra Jess/Penni Raphaelson
Debra had no report
Alan asked if they will continue with the online purchase of tickets, again this year. Debra
stated that probably it will be available. She will check into it. Alan asked about the
dates for the online sales, if it does occur.
Village Liaison: Mike Reynolds
Mike stated that Tom, from the carnival is not in town yet to confirm any info about the
Carnival.
Trustee Liaison: Andy Stein/Joanne Johnson
Andy had no report. Joanne had no report.
Your 2 Cents Worth: All committee members
Paulette stated that next month we have 2 meetings, then 2 in July and every week in
August.
Rodney made a motion to adjourn. Nancy seconded the motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:21.
